He would climb up on to the edge of the nest, and flap his wings, but never did take flight when we were there. Unfortunately we were unable to stay long enough to see him fly, but were delighted to see what we did see.

What an amazing sight and how very special...not many people get to see this - you've done a lovely page of the eagles - we were lucky to be able to spend an afternoon in Crescent Beach BC watching a baby eagle testing his wings, getting ready to fly and his parents off in the distant trees calling to the baby, encouraging it.
