Just for fun. When our son Nathan was eight or nine he hooked up with a Civil War re-enacting group; the 7th Indiana Cavalry. The top two images and the lower right one show Nathan carrying the regimental flag. (He also carried a drum at times.)

Lovely page. Sorry I've been so quiet. It is exam time at school and a very busy time for me with hundreds of scripts to mark. But the holiday is around the corner when I will be able to spend more time here with my friends.
