Sadly, we had to let our dear rottweiler, CASSIE go to Heaven recently..... she was only six years old and had developed cancer, and it was the only good thing we could do for her...! She was very well-loved and will always stay in our hearts...

Thanks to everyone for these lovely comments. Cassie was a rescued dog and we all loved her to bits. I have that photo of her as my screensaver on my phone, iPad and PC and every time i see her I still shed a tear or two.... still missing her very much.

So sad I am so sorry for your loss. we lost our first dog Sprocket and our second Olly the same way they were both rescue dogs both stay with us for Ten Years but they are still with us in our hearts. CASSIE will always be with you in your heart.

Oh my dear friend... as a dog lover and as I am now alone except for my 9/2-year-old Golden Retriever; stories like this break my heart no matter what. As long as you took Cassie in as a member of your family and took her in your hearts and shared your love with her (which I know you did) that is what matters most! Can't write anymore with tears dripping down my face. Great memory page!!!
