This is a photo of my mother and her older sister in Ukraine ....prewar....and I would guess she was between 15 and 17. Well, the Germans came and took her away to Germany to work as a servant for a rich German couple...the war ended... she met my dad...got married...had me.... and with the highest of intentions of going back for a visit...unfortunately did not. They did correspond with each other until her sister passed away. Their paths had never met up again!(mom is the gal on the right)
