I made the background with colour and a water effect in PSP X2. I used a 3D Shadow effect on by Lokas Software and a preset shadow effect from PSP x2. The frame I made with a weave texture, again a preset in PSPX2. I don't really use kits as the challenge asked for, but I do use filters lol.
