For those who don't know me my screen name comes from the fact that I was born in Guernsey, UK and we came out here to New Zealand in 1966 - love it here it's a great country.

The background of beautiful roses you see are from my daughter's garden. I took them - November 2010.
I'm a retired school teacher - I have 3 fantastic children 1 boy and 2 girls now in their 40s/50s. I have 5 grandchildren 25-10 ages. I've been married to my wonderful husband, Barry, for 53 years. We have been together since we were 17.
