| About this scrapbook page: |
NZ is abuzz at the moment. The Rugby World Cup is about to begin. Teams from all over the world have descended on the country and different towns are hosting them. We are lucky to have The Eagles - the American team in Wanganui for this first week before the games start. These pictures show the Maori welcome and the journey by Waka (ceremonial canoe) along the river. Please enlarge to have a better look.

The photos on the right are when 4 members of the team visited Milly's school. The children were having their own RWC Day. Milly is in the front row 2nd from right with NZ on her face - they performed Maori songs and a Haka for the visitors. We had a great day. The rugby is on for 2 weeks and NZ is rugby mad - our team The All Blacks is supposed to win - look out if they don't - there will be some tears shed LOL!! Photos - mine and my daughters. Background a view of Wanganui with the river. PSE7
