About this scrapbook page:
This is my grandfather Miodrag I Mija Djordjevic (seating far left) and his best friend and mate Iustus Hieronimus (Era) Brocklebinder (laying with bayonet) after they captured the town of Bitolj from Turks in the First Balkan War. They won that war, lost the next one and decided to marry and not to go to the third one (The Great War). Hieronimus later (1917) became my father's godfather. He died in Grossenheim am Enster 1979 as the third Graff fon Enster und Labus.
Design credits:
Created with Scrapbook Flair software.

He married Louisa fon Ettingham and had two sons and two daughters: Mathias, Otto, Mariann and Isabelle.
When I saw David's challenge it was obvious to me that he is Isabelle's second son, lost in the DDR during the cold war.

This is a wonderful picture and beautiful frame. I must say the Brockelbinders certainly did get around all over Europe. A very extensive and far reaching bloodline. Great page. 10+10

How very strange Miki, I thought I was still electing German Emperers, but of course in exile in Kurdistan. One day of course they hope to return, and I hope to get back to the family Schloss, currently being used by some film company or other I believe. I must say that I was not aware that I was eligible myself. I shall have to look into that. Maybe next time.....

Do you know, Miki, you have just confirmed what I have suspected ever since the day I first met David! IE that his bloodline was Germanic and that he was really destined to live his days in a Schloss! I'm not sure whether I care for the idea of him being an emperor, though, he's way too bossy as it is! Still, it's nice to know you and he share a common history! Great Brocklebinder research!10+10 !
