canon i9900, hp and epson has one too. I can't remember the model number but I've test them all by bringing my secure digital card at Fry's electronics and ask them to print me a sample and they all looked great. I ended up getting the canon i9900 because it was on-sale at the time but, I think I probably would have been happier with with hp. The ink dries up on the canon when the printer is not getting use all the time. I end up doing printhead cleaning everytime I use it.

I'm late seeing this but if you haven't found what you want; you might want to look at HP Photosmart Pro B8350. I thought it was reasonable at just under $300 including insurance. It prints up to 13x19 sheets. I have not seen 12x12 glossy;but they do have a larger size that can be cut to 12x12.

When you are in the market for printers, be sure and check the reviews on these printers, at places like pc world and pc magazine, and C Net. The costs will vary greatly when you read the reviews, you will see that the price of the printer is only the first step, but some are much more expensive to keep in ink. For instance, I was in the market for a printer, checked out the side by side reviews, and found that HP was the most expensive to print, because their ink cartridges ran out the fastes and they were the most expensive. Canon and Epson ran second and third, because of their cost of ink.

So be sure and check the COST PER PRINT, not only the printer itself. Also check the paper prices. Many times when you buy off brand papers that are cheaper, these papers soak up ink like a sponge and you end up paying for more ink. So please read the reviews on these items.

I have the Canon i9950 and LOVE it. I have never had any problems with it at all. I use both glossy and matte finish photo papers but usually stick to Canon or Kodak brand papers.

i have owned epson printers before, and with having to clean them often and with the amount of ink it uses to clean them, it turned out the Epson printers were not cost effective for me. I now own 2 different types of HP printer, one cost me over $500, and the other around $100, I love the print quality on both of them, depending on which paper and the thickness of that i use. I have a question about canon printers? how do they compare to epson with the cleaning of the print heads? and how often. and the cost of their cartridges?

Thanks Vicki

I have windows XP, I am interested in purchasing an HP wide format printer, but it must be compatible with XP. Does anyone know which HP printer will fit my needs and work with my PC? Models would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Here is the HP website. You can check out the printers there:
www.hp.com
They do have what you are looking for.
Epson and Canon also has super printers, in the size you need. Yes, all new printers are XP and Vista compatible.
You might want to check out printer reviews here:

Good Luck!! Maggie

The only one HP has I found isn't compatible with XP, Canon told me they don't have wide format printers at all. I won't even look at Epson because honestly, I have never been happy with their products. There has to be something out there, I am just not lucky enough to find it.
