Reminder - Be Courteous when posting in the Forums
We would like to remind everyone to please be courteous to the entire Scrapbook Flair Community when you post in the Forums. We reserve the right to remove any comment or post that we consider inappropriate or offensive at any time. This applies to anything you post on the site in forums, comments, groups, challenges, etc. Here is an excerpt from our site rules.
"This is a family oriented website and as such should be governed by a sense of common courtesy and common decency. Its fine to made constructive comments or funny comments about someone's work, but it's not fine to be insulting, pejorative or defamatory. This is not an adult site, so please do not attempt to post adult content. We review every scrapbook that is posted and will not accept content that in our opinion is not appropriate, in good taste, or is otherwise offensive. Of course, we will all try to obey the laws and while doing so, have FUN in posting and sharing our scrapbooks and memories. We welcome people of all nations, races and faiths to participate in Scrapbook Flair and welcome your suggestions on how to improve our community."
We want to clarify that all members are welcome to post pages publicy supporting their faith, beliefs, culture, religion, etc. We will mark pages as private and/or remove pages if they contain nudity, profanity or anything unsuitable for children. We do take into account that we have an international membership. So, pages are sometimes marked as private that are acceptable in some cultures but not all cultures. Anything that a child would see in mainstream media is acceptable to post on the site. Please use your best judgement when posting pages. If we receive several complaints on a page, we will consider making it private if we feel it is offensive. We review the page to consider if it is appropriate for children of all cultures. We receive very few complaints. So,thanks everyone for doing such a great job of posting pages that are appropriate for all members.

Please remember to be courteous and polite in the forums. Rude and inappropriate postings will not be tolerated in the forums or anywhere on the site.
One of the most commom complaints we receive from new members is the mean-spirited behavior in the forums. Please be aware of the impression that you are giving new members of your character when you post in the forums.

Are there any repurcussions for people who habitually violate the rules? Can you kick them off?
And how about rude private messages?

I'd like to see Gary's first question answered.RaeAnn, what about the members who regularly violate site rules &/or challenge rules? Will they be contacted & will any action be taken against them?

Rae Ann says:
Members are contacted by support when they violate the site rules. Most members are very understanding and it is not an issue. We prefer not to kick anyone off the site. But we have had to kick a few members off for repeated site violations.
The challenges are more of a gray area. We allow the challenge owners to monitor their own challenges. However, challenge owners are welcome to report any site violations to support privately and support will review all the facts.
Vickie is correct in her response to Gerry's question. You can report any inappropriate private messages by using the link in the message center.

Rae Ann says:
We thought it was time to remind everyone to be courteous when posting on the site. We had a couple of instances recently where members have publicly accused other members of cheating.
It is against our site rules to publicly or privately harass members on the site.
If you suspect someone is cheating, please report that member privately to support. Support will investigate. Please do not publicly accuse members on the site. Everyone deserves a fair trial.
Also, please remember that many Scrapbook Flair members have family members such as parents and children on the site. Those members may live in the same household and may enjoy viewing and voting while they do not make scrapbook pages.
Thanks for your cooperation in continueing to make Scrapbook Flair a fun and inviting community for everyone.
