Looking for guest designers and ideas
I want to implement a program called "Scrap for Charity" on my blog; where I build a kit that symbolizes and represents a particular campain of awareness. I have contacted several Awarness Campaign's to get their official donate buttons that will link directly to them NOT me.

I am in need of some help designing the kits; however, I just got PSE and do NOT know how to use it. This month I wanted to do a kit for the "Yellow Ribbon-Here For Life" campaign; TY Sassy Willow for the idea and push to do something for someone else.

I want to build a LARGE kit to thank those who donate and to spread awareness throughout our communities for these Campaigns. Each month will have a different campaign to build a kit for, but each kit will be available for a full year with the donation button. If I had multiple designers it would be spectacular and each campaign would get so much more exposure.

If you are interested, have questions or ideas, or just want to push me in the right direction please let me know. I am on SBF frequently as well as my Blog and Forum "ScrapWhat".

I was thinkin yellow's for this one(contacted them to use their official ribbon on the preview). On compiling, err, didn't think about that one, lol. Maybe set it up kinda like a Blog roll, each part would be on the Designers own blog and each would have the same code? I would email the code to them once the donation was confirmed, just an off the top musing have to think on the best route. Since this is about suicide prevention I was thinkin about anything sunny and bright; things that make you smile even when you feel down. Would be great to have some word art that is uplifting and inspiring.

Tailz, TY! Still workin out the details of getting it compiled and to the donator. Have'nt heard back from the organization about the donate button, but they do send email receipts to those who donate on their site.

jayaprem, yellow is the main color(true yellow) bc that is the color ribbon they use. Any yellow is good and a lighter blue always looks good with yellow. OOH, my hubby just gave me an idea for an embellishment "A pocket full of sunshine".

Anyone else have any ideas or suggestions please feel free to share!

I'll make some thing for the kit too. I was thinking that you might want to do a little color swatch that you email to the contributors so we are working with the same shades of yellow.

I'm leaning towards the first one myself. It was the first set I started out with but hubby said it wasn't vibrant enough; I don't know.

I still have not heard from the organization but it was the weekend so I'm hoping to get an email back soon. If all else fails I'll just provide their link and ask that the donators send me their confirmation email as proof. I hope that I don't have to go that route bc it just seems like alot of hassle and maybe discouraging, we'll see. I have a mini-kit done but I'm still working on more cause I want it to be worth a $5 donation to them.

I've never designed anything before but I'm about to start so I'll try my hand at it. If you don't like it you don't have to use it and my feelings won't be hurt at all!

moonsongtx thats bout what I was thinking, good idea. Well here it is Wednesday and they still have not gotten back to me about their donate button. They are a non-profit organization who is recognised by the gov and IRS as so, and they email all donators a receipt of gift for their tax returns. Will probably have to set it up where each donator emails me that receipt to get the password.

Okay, my kit is finished. Will everyone let me know when they have finished with theirs. There is no hurry, I have decided that I will release this at the end of the month or begining of next month. If you would send me an email or if your comfortable post a preview on your Blog or even here(I'm curious!)that would be awesome. When its all together I'll send you the password that we'll use. If I haven't heard from the organization by next Friday I'll have another route planed out and let you know.

Once again, thank you so much for the help I deeply appreciate it.

I have 5 papers, 14 embellishments, 2 frames, journal, and an alpha w/upper and lowercase. I'm going to make a few more papers I think(well, then I'll prob make more embellishments, addicting buggers).

Now you can make as much or as little as you feel up to, it is strictly up to you. I am just so grateful that all of you wonderful ladies have joined in.

Hey, I don't know how to design kits, but I'm a big fan of the Locks for Love charity. I think it would be amazing to have a kit for that! I had a challenge on pages dedicated to locks of love a little while back and I just think it would make a neat little kit!
