Challenge member only voting would be fine if all the challenge members would take time to vote on the other pages anything from 5 to 10 points. I have hosted challenges where I specifically asked all members to do just that and in general it worked. Yes, I host challeges with challenge member only voting and have a few coming up. I personally feel that sometimes it keeps the voting more focused on the scrap and a little less on simple popularity. As I said, that is just my opinion.

I have noticed that a lot - lots of comments but only 2-3 votes in the challenge. Or like one I just joined, it is ended now but there are at least 5 pages in it that did not follow the very simple instructions that were even clearly evident in the title of the challenge, and they scored higher points than many pages (some in the top 6 even). I dont find time to do challenges often anymore, but I do it more to get myself scrapping than anything else. Tho it does leave a bad taste in your mouth sometimes to find rules not followed.

i am sorry for getting this thread off the original subject, my intention was to encourage CO to send messages to members reminding them to vote i used to send one at the beginning one in the middle and one just before challenge ended

what is even more sad is when the voting is open to everyone and the same thing happens...lots of comments, almost everyone who comments voting the viewing points but then the challenge points only being about 20% of the viewing points, so still people aren't voting challenge points. Personally, I try to visit every challenge and vote at least some challenge points...and I will proudly state that I don't vote 10 for everyone. I do vote anywhere from 7 to 10 depending on my opinion of the craftmanship, adherance to challenge requirements and of course my own personal taste plays a part in how much I vote.
