I, too, am a redhead of Scotch-Irish descent and have the white skin and freckles! I was teased as well. I remember my second son hated his freckles so much. He thought everyone on the bus was looking at them and laughing and he kept trying to rub them off. My aunt, also bespeckled, called them angel kisses. Lovely page and quote.
