Fantastic! we understand what adults go through but we dont often think what goes through childrens heads, It must be dreadful enough to lose a home but to lose everything that is dear to you, doesnt bear thinking about, I love your page and to me it's a favourite.

Yes, I agree with barabaranne, frightening and so worrying for adults but how do you explain to a 2 year old? Then, of course, once you had settled in Scotland, at 7 you faced another upheaval in returning home to a place that must have been so strange to you. The active horrors of war do come to an end but the effects live on in the memory for a long, long time after, sometimes never leaving.
