thsnk you most sicerely for your page, use of the kit and journaling. i agree with gintergedes4u. look at some other pages you admire, try the idea with your own essence. if you specify which skills you wish to broaden we can discuss it later. fantasy pages and blending are sometimes ways of getting away from ribbons and flowers if it appeals to one. your 'safety net' is cool and wonderful.

A beautiful traditional style impeccably scrapped & I love your colour choices. As for broadening your skills, I second all that has been said already but will also suggest that you let your imagination loose-choose an image, person, landscape, animal & tell a story drawing from various kits for interest.Play with blends & effects & just enjoy the experience & your new sense of scrapping freedom xx

Great page, I always like the balance and simplicity in your pages. Think of a kind of unbalance can also be a balance. If possible with your program try it out with templates and after a while you can work things out without the templates

Try different sized elements even filling the page and add shadowing if you can to give depth. Don't be afraid to mix colours rather than keep to a colour theme. As others have said just PLAY. I love your trad pages though and at least you manage to do them.

First place your background & then turn your papers @ a fair amount either left or right & have multiple layers of paper almost like a child playing on a page where nothing is straight. Once I learned to loosen up & started to play with my pages; then things became easier--you also have more fun creating your scrap pages, too--At least that was how it was for me!! Hope this helps you BB!! xxx

I agree with gintercedes4u but would also add - use a mixture of elements from different kits in your page. That way you get a broader scope for building up how you want your page to look. The easiest way to learn on SBF is just play around with your page and check out friends pages to see how they adjust the balance without it looking unbalanced - Hope this helped xx
