Eyes
Blazing, blue, brilliant, beautiful. Eyes are the window to the soul. My Mother’s eyes. Oh how my mother’s eyes do shine. They possess a beautiful quality all of their own. While most blues are harsh and sharp, my mother’s eyes are soft, like an angel’s kiss. They could calm the maddest of storms. They are the one true thing that can always make me smile. Somehow her gene skipped me. While she has cool and gentle blue eyes, mine are warm and confidant colors of gold. They glitter like a freshly cut diamond in the sun, yet they seem to take on a life of their own when you focus on their detail. They then are not just gold anymore, they are gold, brown, and if you look closely, you will even see flecks of green.

Cedar Crest
Cedar Crest has gone by many names throughout its existence. It has been Slapes corner and Sorenson, but the one name that it will always carry, is my home. Our neighborhood has seen many people throughout its years, but the population has mostly always been white, except for Dr. De Castro. Our neighbors go from the nicest people, to the craziest people. Cedar Crest is like the world gathering of crazy people. We have Jordan Burkhardt, Austin Schwarz, and I. Aside from us, there are not very many kids. It tends to get lonely. Cedar Crest will always be this; small, lonely, crazy, and different. Cedar Crest is to normal as Einstein is to dumb.
