Title: What's Most Important...
Post Text Wow! I've been neglecting my little blog here. All I can say is...Life Happens! Not that I haven't been scrapping...I'm on three Creative Teams that keep me very busy and most recently I had some serious computer problems. The result...I lost a lot of things that I had stored on my hard drive...paperwork, software programs, games things that really aren't all that important. BUT! I also lost pictures and scrapbook layouts! That reduced me to tears...ok...honestly...it left me sobbing for hours. I'm still nauseous from thinking about it! So, here goes the topic...What's really most important to you? I'm lucky that I visit scrapbooking communities and post my layouts. I've been able to save most of them to disc and my brand new external hard drive. That's allowed me to also get back some of my most favorite photos. But, not all of them. So, I cry some more...alright...ALOT more. My little girls cried too because pictures of Girl Scout Camp and Cheerleading that weren't yet scrapped are now lost forever. Along comes the brave mommy (but only on the outside) and tells them that while the pictures are nice, it's the memories that are the most important. I recently scrapped two similar layouts. One for my late husband and one for my boyfriend/soul mate/the one I'm met to end up with. Eloquent words are not always easy to come by and so I took up a challenge to use a song. For Mike's it was important to me to use a song that not only apologized for all the things I said that I didn't mean and to say a few of the things that should have been said but weren't. Those are hard feelings to have. If we don't restrain ourselves from the hurtful words and find the courage to say the ones that should be heard...we may not get another chance to do so! That's why I decided to do a layout, using words far better than I could compose, for Randy. I want him to know how I feel about our relationship, our meeting and my new life with him. I challenge you to do the same. If the words are hard to come by...find a song or a poem and create a layout for the person you need to reach out to. Whether you need to apologize for something you said or did or if you just need to tell that someone special just how special they are. You may not get another chance to do so...don't miss the opportunity to create a happy, warm-fuzzy memory. Afterall, it isn't the picture that keeps the memory...it's the heart!
I'm what I call a passionate scrapper. I put alot of thought (maybe too much) into my pages. And, as you will soon see, I go through phases in the themes and styles of my pages. So, here's the inspiration and thoughts that inspired me to create the pages you find here. In Case You Were Wondering...
