Title: MOTHER SWEET MOTHER
Post Text Your sweet smiling eyes Your faint little touch. Through your many years, You've suffered so much. Losing both your parents In just about a years time. I know the heart ache, As now I've lost both of mine. Through all the surgeries, Suffering and pain, You considered it a blessing And never complained. And losing your sweet husband, Lover and friend, You kept on going And picked up the pieces again. Mother sweet mother, I'll miss you so much, Your sweet smiling eyes, Your faint little touch. By Louise Alley Revised Jan.19,1999 I had written this poem before mother's death but revised it afterward.
When our daughter was killed in a car wreck in 1996, I started writing poems, a type of therapy I suppose. Well actually I had written a few before then, but many I didn't think to keep and boy am I sorry about that now. Any way I decided to post them here to share.
