Just a few years ago I was reunited with my only daughter in Jordan after 40 years apart. Returning to Jordan was a very emotional time for me and brought back many memories (some good, some bad) of the years that I lived there. Now I know that I'll never break the ties to that land, even though I was an ordinary British-born English girl before I married, and am now a proud Australian after 38 years here.
