I miss my old bike

Every once and a while, I miss my old Harley - Davidson...yeh, I have had Hondas, Yamahas, and BMWs too...but they just never stack up to my old FLH HOG. There is just somethig special about a Harley, and on nice days, I miss it. Period.

My first Scrapbookflair page

This is my first try ever with ScrapbookFlair software, All told, I love how the page came out...I suspect I would do a few things differently today...however, I am not sure it would be any better. It was my good fortune that after he got draafted into world war I, he had just enugh time to get his picture taken, before the war ended....or who knows where I would be now.

If you have a Cow..scrap it.

I just love this old photo of the family cow. It reminds you that once upon a time...and not that long ago...if you had a cow, you had it made. A cow was a worthy thing, kind of like having a really nice car. Anyway, I am lucky to have a great shot of our prized cow. I wonder if they? called her Bessy

OK...not my photo

I found this old photo of the Macy's Thanksgivings day parade on a web site somewhere. Many of us remember watching this parade on the old Black and White TV, those are great memories. So I felt that I had to share these with all of you via ScrapbookFlair. Thanks to everyone who dropped me a note, I really enjoyed making this page.

this group look like fun

I have always loved the photos on this page...The house is simply grand and a perfect example of a home during a much simpler time. I love the group shot of ladies in the upper right. they are all relatives, adn look to be having a fun time. I suspect they would have been great to have known...and I wonder what was going on when this moment was captured forever. things to ponder and a good reason to scrap old photos. The people in them live on and on. Enjoy, and smile like I do when I see this page.

Old Country

I never knew this relative...but she looks like some one I would love to have known. I wanted to keep this page simple and clean. I also wanted to keep it in harmony with the original photo. I wanted the page to be something that she would have loved. I hope she liked roses.

Using historical photos

I find it fun to use classic old photos of famous people to make a sort of memorial page honoring historical events. For memorial day I did a Gettysburg page to honor Joshua L. Chamberlain who (with his 20th Maine regiment)...managed to hold off a much larger rebel force at the battle of Little Round Top. This small but important fight was a key element in the Union victory at Gettysburg. He is one of my personal heros.
