Great News!...

This has been a great week, Rob and I have worked out a schedule that we will both be able to see the girls EVERY week and have some one on one time with both of them. I just hated going a whole week in between visits, and I would call almost every night and then find reasons to drop things off or stop by to see them. So we’re going to try this and see how it goes.
I got our taxes done yesterday so I no longer have to worry about that. I asked Jared if we could claim Jordan, since she has pretty much been at our house for the last week. Spent the night Friday, Saturday, went home Sunday evening and spent the night Monday. Her mom works 2nd and sometimes 3rd shift so she usually stays with grandma, but Jared and I offered to keep her whenever. I think she is trying to move in LOL, I found half her laundry yesterday, her portable dvd player and a bunch of little things.
Jared and I will be going out on the house hunt on Sunday, I think we are looking at 5 more. Lauren has a date marked on the calendar to move July 7th, not sure where that came from but if not before that sounds like a fine date.
I will get some picks of Maddie and Jordan to scrap woohoo!!

Moving is for the birds.....

I met with the realtor the other night and she shared her words of wisdom for making the sale of the condo go as quickly as possible. Not bad at all only 3 or 4 things. Remove all personal pictures. Clean out closets to make them look spacious, all the girls’ art and good grades off the front of the fridge, and stage things in 3 or 5. So I got up bright and early and tackled the closet. By noon I was done, but exhausted. I have never parted with so many things at once before. But I thought to myself move it or pitch it, and pitch is what I did. The girls closet was the worst of all since we did not touch it when we did the room. I hauled out 3 ~ 30 gallon trash bags of just stuff, they out grew or didn’t use, or didn’t claim (because in our house no one owns anything, or at least when there’s a mess LOL!) They didn’t give me any flack at all, since they would move tomorrow if possible.
I feel sorry for them since they have only a couple friends around here, but Madison usually has a friend over from school on the weekends when she is here. This week it is Jordan, she is an absolute doll, polite, friendly, funny, and cute. Jared and I want to adopt her. If its not her its Kayla, she is also a great kid. Her and Jared are like two peas in a pod and completely feed off each other. Hey it gives Jared someone to pick on, because she gives it right back, while our girls whine, cry and act like were the worst parents ever. I often find myself telling them, “Quit acting like such a girl” LOL!! Oh well I better get off here and get back to work, otherwise I am going to lose my motivation.

MONTAIGNE: "He who is not sure of his memory should not undertake the trade of lying".

This is my thought for the day, and pretty much my rule to live by. Sometimes you think you know someone and bam it hits you like a freight train, you didn’t really see them for who they were at all. I will just say I have not a thing to hide and nothing to lie about. And in this day and age every body makes their life an open book. I mean c’mon if you’re stupid enough to post your personal life all over the internet. Then you choose to lie about it, then you can for damn sure count on it coming back and haunting you because it will. I try to never point out facts unless I am 100% sure or I have something to back me up. So if you want to go ahead and argue about something I may have said, go ahead I will bring the proof to the table!! What’s that saying “People in glass houses should not throw stones”.

Ok I am done with that rant. The house selling/hunting is going great. We have the best mortgage guy and realtor ever. Donna is coming this afternoon to go through the house, and give me any last minute tips. It helps that we have just redone Maddie and Laurens room, I just repainted the kitchen and Jared is updating the bathroom upstairs. We thought we had our mind set on a house, since, we have found 20 more beautiful homes. We are looking for atleast 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, nice size kitchen only because mine is HUGE now and I have every nook and cranny full, 2-car garage. So its not like we want something there isn’t plenty of. Jared said he will make our bedroom, something out of extreme makeover, so woohoooo!!! I am just so excited everything is coming together. Life couldn’t be better!!

It must be love.........

This last week has been anything but dull. As I mentioned before we are getting ready to list the condo. So Tuesday I decided to do some much needed paint touch up and cleaning. So I get it all done and I am excited, then that evening I go to use the garbage disposal and dead as doorknob. Great!!!!! Jared said hold off he will look at it when he gets home needless to say, Wednesday it was still dead. So my very loving husband goes up to Lowes and replaces it Woohoo it’s fixed!!!!! Nope Sunday, I am cleaning some more and low and behold I hear water leaking I look under the sink and water is squirting everywhere. He comes home looks at it, reaches for it and the whole thing falls apart in his hand. Did I mention in less then an hour from this we are suppose to be going to look at houses. I probably also didn’t mention that if I had not dumped gooey paint down the sink this wouldn’t have happened in the first place. So knowing this is probably my fault and feeling terrible sometime in there I told Jared that I would take care of it since it was probably my fault, he said what would make you think that, I tell him the gooey paint story and god love him he just starts laughing hysterically and says “ Its ok honey it was probably time for a new one” It must be love!!!
So the condo is going up in the next week hopefully, and the house we are looking at is *8* miles from my work, why does that excite me? Because I drive 40 now each way UGGGHHH!!
Other then that we have had a stray cat adopt us. Her name is “Stripes~Boots with the Fur” Don’t ask!! Jared built her a little house on the back porch and we have a little heater thing you pop in the microwave. Zoey and her sit and stare through the window at eachother, they are so cute.

Good News!

Well ok, it’s only alright news. Remember the Van, yes the one I write about often that sucks, well lets just say the dealership and I had a little disagreement about the condition of the van in which it was sold to us, again probably why the van sucks so much in the first place. Well after spending 8 exhausting hours in depositions last week, with the owner of the dealership, and his prick of an attorney, who in my opinion after some of the remarks he made to me, that completely didn’t have anything to do with anything, I should sue his ass next.
Actual questions the prick thought were appropriate to ask
1. You can read and speak English correct? Needless to say my attorney objected, but my thought – No stupid!! I have just sat in this room with you for the last 6 hours, thus speaking to everyone in the room, in perfect English, at what point didn’t you catch that?
2. Your husband drives a Corvette correct, is that how he picked you up? Ofcourse the question was also objected to. But my thought Yes you fat balding pig, my husband did drive a Corvette, but if we’re making assumptions here, I guess its fair to assume by looking at you, your wife picked you up grazing at the buffet.
Needless to say my attorney called the next day and said that the way this idiot was acting was straight out of an episode of Law & Order, swinging his arms, yelling and just over all being a huge jerk. I got to guess that atleast they think they did something wrong since they offered a settlement!
Oh well atleast it’s over. Now Jared and I can focus on getting the condo ready to sell.

Nothing!!

Well I worked for 4 hours today, since Dr. Case is out for the big game. I tried my best to convince him to try to pull it off as a dental convention, but no such luck. Oh well we're all looking forward to Hawaii in 09.
Other then that nothing exciting to report after the holidays, other then one of my Christmas trees are still up, now I am the type that will take it down the day after Christmas, if not the day of. I actually did take the one upstairs down, only because I was exhausted from chasing the bulbs, and little Miss Princess Zoey. Madison even found a bulb in her bed. You would have sworn that I put that tree up for her entertainment.
New Years was great, we had the girls, my sister, and the parents came down. The Dads had soooo much fun playing Wii, Jared and I are just trying to figure out who is going to get theirs first. My mom was even down there Wii'ing. And all have mentioned going out to buy one. What goofballs!
Jared went to his first Swap Meet with my father Sunday, he had so much fun. And he got a few things for his car. So with what he got from Christmas, what we ordered and what he picked up at the swap meet. I think he has pretty much what he needs, it just needs to be painted. He said he wants it ready for the Mum Festival Car Show, HELLO that’s Sept. I bet it will be done end of spring if not before.

Go Patriots Go!!!!!!

I have been telling Jared all week after the whole to televise not to televise controversy, the Patriots were jinxed. Thats alot of pressure, and since I work in a dental office that pretty much gets every, magazine known to man, and there ALWAYS on the cover. So I couldn’t even watch the first half last night, Jared and I went downstairs and Wiid for a bit then I came up when it was 16 to 28 and I am yelling at Jared “See I told you so” but as always they prevailed!! But even the whole second half I couldn’t sit still, I was up and down and in and out of the room. I am not one for anticipation!!! Jared just laughs at me since, the deal was 2 years ago, I had to pick a football team, and not knowing a thing about football, I just went for the cutest quarterback. Now when I watch I am yelling at the tv and jumping up and down. And I can actually have a conversation with Jared about what’s going on and I know what were talking about. Well I am hoping they will come through at the Superbowl and be completely undefeated!!!

Well another Christmas come and gone!!

It was a wonderful Christmas for the Buechler family (well make that the Buechler/King/Wagner/Wheeler/Chaney, hope I didn’t leave anyone out family)
The girls got sooooooooooo much stuff. They got a Wii, Maddie got a Nintendo DS, Lauren got a Leapster, they got their coats, Webkinz stuff, clothes, purses, board games ect….. Maddie got a laptop, digital camera and video/mp3 player from her dad and grandma, and I think Lauren got a portable dvd player and radio and a new bedroom. Which the girls also got here last week, big thank you to Grandma and Grandpa B, they came up and completely redid the girls room, now it beautiful shades of pastels. They are so excited!!! And so are Jared and I because it actually looks cleaned and organized for a change, and Maddie and Lauren are doing a much better job of keeping it that way.
As for Jared well besides his car, he swears was his Christmas present, he got door panels, floor pans and a really awesome shifter knob, from my dad. I have honestly never seen him this excited about anything before. He will sit for hours and google car parts, so during my laundry and cleaning trips he is constantly saying come here, look at this. I don’t think he realizes I don’t even know what half the stuff he shows me is, or what it even does! Oh well its worth it to see him happpppyyyy!!! As for me lets see, Jared got me a very beautiful anniversary ring, and throw. But he’s not very patient so I got it a week early. Mom and Dad B got me a purse light, a calendar, foot cream, lottery tickets, perfume, and a bunch of other little things. My mom and dad got me an Ohio State Sweatshirt, clothes, a Tastefully Simple Fondue Set, earrings, a sewing box, jammies and a bunch of little stuff. As for little Miss Princess Zoey, she got a stocking filled with toys, and she was so fun to watch, she immediately knew it was hers and she was all over it. My sister niece and nephew, got her a new bowl set and new toys, I swear she is more spoiled then anyone else in this house. Jared and I went to PetsMart and he picked her out a charm for her collar. I tell Jared all the time, she is the best thing that happened to us in 2007, she just brings so much love to the house. She can completely get away with anything, the other day Jared and I were in the kitchen and she hopped up on the counter, we look over and there she is dipping her foot into Jared’s glass of tea, did he yell at her? NO!! She rules the house! Oh well looking forward to 2008!!

Christmas is coming!!

Wow! Hard to believe but its almost Christmas! I am really excited this year! Jared is getting a bunch of stuff from my dad for his Hot Rod. Maddie and Lauren are absolutely spoiled this year. Jared and I debated on getting them a Wii but with the prices and the fact they are so hard to find, we came to a decision we were holding off until after Christmas. Yeah, well we thought! Last week we got on ebay and bid well we won not only one but two, oh well we already sold the other. Well I had already started shopping thinking we were skipping the Wii, so they are getting their school jackets, movies, games, webkins, crafts, diaries and a bunch of little stuff. We are getting my nephew an Xbox 360 and my niece a kitten. Its going to be a wonderful Christmas for all I am sure. Not sure what our plans are for Christmas this year, every Christmas Eve we spend at my parents, but because I am not speaking to my one sister, and have no intentions to. She is completely wrapped up in her own little world, not to mention she has completely fallen in to Jared’s ex wife bucket of nuts. Oh well the two are made for eachother, neither one of them have a nice word to say about eachother when there not together, I think that’s because they are so much alike only worried about image and showing off, oh well two peas in a pod! Do I sound bitter? Sorry I am not, its just people like that make me sick!!!! We’ll see my other sister wants me to really go so I may, and if something happens then I will be the bigger person and walk away.

Like Father Like Son?....

More like father~in~law like son~in~law. Yesterday Jared was out doing his errands and he called me and said he was going to get my dad and they were going to look at a car. Now Jared had mentioned to me this car the evening before, but I blew him off. Need I say more, we are the proud owners now of a 49' Chevy hotrod something or other. My mom called and she said don't you know better then to send your father out with your husband? A car lot to them is like Toys R Us. Oh well no one deserves a toy more then Jared, and he is soooooo excited. He told me last night he is more excited about this then he was when he got his Corvette, so I am so happy for him. Plus I am really excited about the fact that he and my dad have something in common and they already have made plans to attend car shows and park next to eachother. Two big kids I tell ya.
Other then that Zoey has been with us a week now, and she is the most precious, loving thing ever. Jared is very protective of her, which is good; he won't let her go out in the garage because she may catch cold .She can pretty much get away with anything, with her cuteness. Except we have not slept a full night since she came, because she wakes us up either by licking us, or smothering us. I have researched how to break her and everything says kick her out of the bed. Jared and I both agree not a chance, as silly as it seems, and because she is so loving, and that’s the only thing she wants in return, we in no way want to deter her from being precious. But really she is great, she has been trained since the day she got home, she doesn’t really claw anything except her scratching post, the only problem, if really one, she plays with the curtains, but oh well they will be replaced when we list the house. She loves us unconditionally and that is what she will get in return.
Christmas is coming soon and I still have no ideas for the girls, Grandma and Grandpa B pretty much got them everything they wanted and more, leaving me clueless. I am sure I will come up with something

Well I was suppose to get my results back from my tests last friday, well I called and they can't release anything til the Dr. signs the report, the Dr. has been out all last week So its 2:32 on Monday and I am still waiting! God love my husband, he made sure he was home friday incase of bad news, and he even called to try to get something out of them. I guess I am just anxious because they said last friday, so that was already aweek of not knowing and then I woke up Friday and I thought wow the wait is finally over, even if it is good or bad, then I call and they say SOMETIME next week well thats s flippen huge time line!!! SO ALL I HAVE IS UGGGHHH!!

Why me?....

My mom always tells me things happens for a reason and God only gives you what you handle, well I think its time He and I sit down and have a chat. Dr. Case’s theory, “What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger.” Ok well STOP I think I am strong enough! And my lovely sister – “ Well I would like to say bad things are suppose to only happen in threes” I think what she meant is cats have nine lives and your pretty darn close.
Jared actually got excited when he got the parts to fix the brakes on the van, I told him that was pretty sad that new brakes for the van (remember the one that sucks) is the most exciting thing we have going on. I went to my Chrones doctor on Tuesday good news there, its in remission, again not getting my hopes up I think the last time we thought that a month later I was in the hospital. Then I had my other icky doctors appt. on Friday didn’t go nearly as well, but I will get the results back on Friday, not looking forward to that at ALL!
I just keep asking myself why me, oh well who knows.
Maddie had her father daughter hoe down at school on Friday. She said she really enjoyed herself, Her and Jared made a deal, Since Rob was going to take her Jared got to dress her. And she looked so cute I am sure I will do a page for her.
Lauren goes back to school tomorrow first day in 2 weeks, and she is so excited. Her teacher had the class make get well cards for her, so we got those and the last of her homework to her so she is all ready and not to far behind hopefully. Other then that not a lot else is going on.

What a Day...

Well Lauren had her tonsils and adenoids out his morning, I am still not sure it happened, by the way she is acting. After being up all night worried to sick about her she arrives at the hospital with her dad and Rene, bouncy and bubbly as ever. So Rob, Rene, Jared’s dad and I take her to check in, and they almost immediately take her back to her room, where Lauren proceeds to fill out her health history with the nurse. So we are waiting for them to bring her, her sleepy juice, while she provides entertainment for the nursing staff. They ask her which flavor of anesthetic she wants at which point now she’s even more excited since its strawberry. So they give the sleepy juice and she’s off. Rob and I have to watch a quick video on discharge instructions, maybe 5 minutes, Donna stops in to say Hi, and I look up and there stands Laurens Dr. “She’s done it went great” HOLY COW, it has maybe been 10 minutes,no I am serious 10 minutes tops, so she’s in recovery for awhile, and then come back to the room. The nurse that was with her the entire time said they took her back, she jumped on the table looks at them and says “Let’s get this done”, only my child. So we spend the rest of the time just waiting for her to wake up, and as she’s going in and out, she realizes she is not a huge fan of the I.V. in her hand, so she looked at John and I and yells well “If I didn’t have this I could be on my field trip” She wake’s up again gets a blue slushy, and it’s time to come home. She finished her slushy on the way, we get home and then she was on to Popsicles, then jello, then macaroni, then more Popsicles, and then she wanted scrambled eggs. See I am pretty sure it didn’t happen! And to think I got no sleep!

Happy Anniversary!

Jared and I celebrated our 2nd Anniversary Friday. It was wonderful, he ran out and bought me cards and a dozen peach roses, and they are absolutely beautiful. Then we took a nap together. Then we left for the concert, Taylor Swift, Rodney Atkins, and Brad Paisley. We stopped for dinner on the way at Raffertys. Then we headed down to the concert, when we got there it had been sold out so it was packed. Well I had got our tickets through the fan club so until we picked them up we had no idea where we sitting, so we picked them up and I looked at the ticket, it said Row C, not bad third row I thought. Well after having to go through what seemed like a couple dozen security people to get to our seats, we were there, ROW C in the PIT!!!! Woohoo!! So we were right at the stage. We sat next to some of the neatest people I have ever met; we were the 7th
and 8th seat in from the walk out. And before the show we were talking to the couple on the very end I had mention how much I would love to touch Brad. So low and behold when Brad started to sing “Celebrity” the guy came down and told me to go take his seat, although Brad didn’t come down the walkway, I was so close and got awesome pics! It was just amazing to be that close. When Taylor Swift came out on stage, you could actually see that she had Goosebumps! So close Jared even caught Brad’s guitar pick’s for me. There was another couple next to us, they were from Kentucky, but the husband grew up in West Carrolton, and they were also very friendly, and since they were older it was kind of nice, since it wasn’t like they were throwing beer all over anything or us. Believe me the crazies were out though, we went up to get a shirt and a drink, and next to the tent was a guy laying on the ground in handcuffs, apparently the idiot in flip flops thought he could run through the main gate and out run security, then there was the lady that thought she should be the privileged one that should go on stage and let Brad talk on her cell phone to some random person. But all in all it was an awesome show, and a wonderful Anniversary!

Friday is Jared and I's two year anniversary, and were going to see Brad that night, woohoo!! Monday, Lauren will go in for her surgery, scares me to death but I know she will be better off in the long run.
Other then that just frustrated I have no pictures to scrap, uggh!! I am sure I can find something

And my rant......

I know this has nothing to do with anything, but I did promise I would rant a bit so this is it. I read earlier today, the story about Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen and the ugly custody battle. This just makes me sick, here I am a woman, and I gotta tell you it seems to me that women are evil, and the court system does nothing for justice. What happened to the children’s well being. I went through a very ugly divorce, so I know how it can be first hand. I thank God now that we have a great relationship, and although I may not always agree with Rob’s choices, I am so glad that he is a part of my girl’s life. He has really grown up alot and no one can say that he doesn’t love those girls more than anything. I really just don’t understand how the courts see women so superior to men on raising children. And half the time the people that are deciding whats in our childrens best interest, don't even have children themselves. I have seen this so many times and it just makes me ill. I read that article this morning and it just sent my blood boiling, yes maybe since we have just went through all this ourselves, but c’mon reading that article it was like reading our story, like Jareds ex has trained Denise to do and say the exact evil hurtful things. I totally agree with the 95% of the posts that said that its just a case where yes Denise wanted a divorce, but she doesn’t want him to be with anyone else or be happy. So who pays the price, THE KIDS!!!! It just amazes me that, no matter what a crazy, psychopath pill popping, freakshow the mother is, just because she is the mother that means she is better for the child then the father? UGGGHH!!!
On the upside Jared and I have a nice couple of days. Wednesday, he went to my Dr. Visit with me to get the results of my test. Which went great and a heck of a lot better then expected, based on the past yr. of my life. Last night we went to Old Time Pottery, were pathetic the only things we could find were salt and pepper shakers and a spatula. Tonight we are meeting my family for the Mum festival Car show. Tomorrow we will do the Mum Festival so that will be relaxing

What a week..

I think I only say this once in a great while, but boy am I glad that week is over. It was a busy week, Lauren's birthday, still trying to get settled into Jared’s new schedule, Savannahs Wedding, and more unpleasant stuff with Jared’s ex. And if anything good came out of that, at least it is what is and that’s how it’s going to be, and now Jared and I have a plan and we’ll go with it and see how it comes out. No more drama, and I think after all the talking Jared and I have done lately it has only brought us closer.
On the upside this is my last week of real work for awhile then I have 2 short days next week, then off a week, Jared’s and I anniversary week, woohoo!, and the following week Lauren gets her tonsils out so I am off a few more days there.
The picture I did this week was taken Saturday before Savannahs Wedding, Its my sister, father and I. It’s very rare to get him in a picture so we jumped at the chance.

Happy Birthday Lauren!

Today is Laurens 8th birthday, we celebrated it last week with Maddie’s, so this evening we will have her birthday dinner, and she chose Spaghetti. Jared is at work, so he wont be able to do dinner with us, he said to tell her that when he goes to his Olive Garden he would pick some up so he can eat spaghetti tonight in her honor!
Other then that not much is going on, Jared and I spent the best day together yesterday, we got up, we took our showers, took a nap, got up again, went to the grocery, which I must say I actually saved money this time by taking him, if it wasn’t on the list I wasn’t getting it! We ran into some friends there, chatted for a few. Then we came home had dinner, and watched a whole bunch of Sex In the City. It was just nice and relaxing! I think the biggest decision we had to make yesterday, is what to do with the 11 bottles of beach we purchased, I know what your thinking! My husband found a good deal 10 for $10.00 and you get the 11th free, needless to say I won’t be needing bleach for the next year. Jared reminded me on the way out of the store, it came up sometime in a murder case where someone was found guilty for the amount of bleach they purchased. So now I am thinking great Jared, its only a matter of time before the police come knocking on our door looking for a body! LOL! Jenny, the cleanest person I know, couldn’t even fathom the amount of bleach!
See I told I just go on and on about nothing!

Happy Birthday Maddie!

Today is Maddie's 10th birthday. Yesterday we celebrated her and Laurens Birthdays. Lauren will be 8 next Monday. We had the family over yesterday for a cook out. It was nice, Jared’s parents and mine were here, my sisters, my brother~in~law, all my nieces and nephews, and the girls each had a friend. The theme was pigs and butterflies. I tried to talk Maddie into cows or Lauren into ladybug’s, neither of them were having it though. So we did a butterfly piñata and pig decorations, and made it work with pink and purple decorations and tablewear. We did pin the tail on the pig, which Jared made by hand, yes he is that crafty, and Jared and I made pig snorts for the kids to wear. However the only pictures I got of anyone in them were the grandparents (such good sports). God love my mother~in ~law, I think that is the only picture she has actually let me take, the rest I have to be sneaky. The girls hit the jackpot on presents, my sisters got them gift cards, and a visa card so needless to say they were waking me up bright and early ready to go shopping. So we went and did Maddie’s birthday lunch at Bob Evans and I took them to Target . Maddie decided on just one thing with her card as where Lauren got three. Lauren tried to explain to Maddie that if she managed her money better she could get more also, at which point WWF Smackdown broke out in Target. The funny thing is with Maddie and Lauren, if they're apart for more then an hour they want to call each other and they miss each other soooo much, but you get them together and they pick pick pick at each other. I remember I use to do that to my sisters also; needless to say I spent a lot of time playing by myself.
Besides that I am off today and tomorrow, I told Jared I was going to try to go through and organize the closets, I haven’t gotten any done, since I was working on the girls birthday scrapbook, did all five pages, saved it, or so I thought, closed it went back and in and it said it was corrupted. Uggghh, story of my life. And now its too late and I am tired and ready for bed.

My husband, my life saver......

I can’t really say this has been the best week ever. Jared had some more unpleasant events with his ex, but we have faith it will all work itself out in the end. One of my Dr’s called and they need to do more tests. Ugghhh. I swear I will spend the months of Sept. and Oct. at Dr’s get poked and prodded. But I must say yet again, I have the most wonderful husband ever. We are having Maddie and Lauren’s birthday party tomorrow. So we will be having the entire family over, and some of the girl’s friends, and my lovely husband spent the day yesterday getting ready for it. He went to the grocery (2 of them), went the dollar store and Hobby Lobby to get more stuff, picked the girls up from school, took Madison to get her hair cut, cleaned the house, did laundry, cooked dinner, and even made both the girls birthday cakes, Madison got a butterfly, Lauren got a pig. Then after all that had to go to work. Some where in there he even found time to send me an email at work, that was titled “ Remember This” and it was our wedding vows, so needless to say I spent that moment at my desk crying. It was to remind me that no matter what triumphs we face, we face them together, and we will get through it together. God love him.
Today Jared’s Mom and I took the girl’s to lunch and to Build A Bear, it was nice Hailey was in so we got to spend some time with her.

Wonderful afternoon...

Jared and I spent a wonderful afternoon together yesterday. We went of to Columbus, first we stopped at the Topiary Garden, at the school for the deaf. It was such a beautiful park, Jared now wants to make me topiary, he’s so sweet. Then we went to the Bodies Exhibit, I thought the organs’ were very interesting, but I must say I ran past the actual full sized bodies, just something creepy about the fact that they are real, just skinned and all opened up. We then went to Garden Ridge, my new FAVORITE store. It’s a cross between an Old Tyme Pottery and Hobby Lobby. Jared must have thought I had gone crazy, I refrained from buying anything. I am just trying to be a penny pincher so we can eventually get a house. We then went out to dinner at the Rusty Bucket, best food ever!!! It was just a wonderful day!! I can't wait til October and we will have a week together, oh I forgot to mention I got my tickets to Brad, Its going to seem like forever, since I bought them in the fan club they don't tell you where your seats our, just that they are in a certain section starting in the second row!

Date Day....

The girls went back to their dads early this week, for a cookout since Robs aunt was in town. So Jared and I decided to take advantage of it and had a date day. We hung out and then we went to see "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry" It was a great movie, and I love Adam Sandler, I think I like him since he and Jared are soooo much alike. But is was a good movie and some nice quality time spent together, which I have come to the conclusion thats where my grumpy streak came from. Jared started his new route and I could only come up with 23 hours that we are awake and see eachother every week, yuck! So we have some plans for next week, were going site seeing and to the Bodies Exhibit, yes sounds morbid to me also, but my lovely husband says it will be interesting, what will be interesting is when he has to pick up off the floor because I pass out!
Other then that I am just working on a page for my dad, he went to The Bonneville Salt Flats and sent Jared a bunch of pictures. I don't know who was more excited my dad or Jared. Dad called to tell ME about his day, but I lost the phone to Jared and what seemed like an hour later I still knew nothing. MEN!!!!

Who knew?....

Who knew buying a new car could make you grumpy, but talk to my husband he says I have been grumpy since. Could be that or the fact I haven't felt very good in the last couple weeks. But I have appointments with my both my doctors in the next couple of weeks I am sure one of them is bound to come up with something. Down side they both want blood work, and both use differnt labs and both want to know different things, so they can't share the info, so that means I get to be doubly poked fun!! I am sure its my chrones, but we'll see. I might just be grumpy because I have pretty much exhausted my pictures for scrapping, so I need to take more. The girls birthdays are coming up and Rob has a pile at home to scan and send (such a nice ex husband). Other then all that not much going on, Jareds going to clean the garage tomorrow and then I am gonna touch up the paint and in a few months the new house search should be on!! I am sure that will make me much grumpier then the car thing ha ha!

And the Winner is.......

Yesterday Jared spent the entire day out looking at cars again uggghhh after much frustration, I said to him how about we broaden our search and instead of just looking at SUV's lets look at some cars, so I got home and talked Jared into going to look at Nissans (believe me he wasn’t in the mood, can’t say I blame him since again he had been at it all day). I was just having a conversation with Dr. Case, and I asked his opinion of Altimas, at which point he handed me the issue of Kiplinger’s that he had just gotten and low and behold, the Altima is the #1 rated vehicle in its class. Wow must be fate. So we went, and although they had many to choose from only one stood out it, it was the first and only I looked at and guess what NOW ITS MINE!!!! So the official winner is the Nissan Altima, it’s a beautiful dark blue, charcoal interior and even my sunroof!! Woohoo!! I am so glad we made this choice, I drive 40 miles to work one way so the more I thought about the SUV the more it just didn’t make sense, I get like a gazillion miles to the gallon, and its sporty fun and yet big enough for the family!! But more importantly the car search is over and Jared and I both feel really good about it and the decision we made. So tonight it will be nothing but relaxation……

A Relaxing Week ???

Well this may be a relaxing week for us, we will hope!! Jared and I say that every week and find 100 more things that need to be done. The girls went back to their dads this week, it was nice I had them for the last 3 weeks. I stopped by tonight to drop something off and Lauren was begging to come back to my house, so that broke my heart! Other then that I went to my mom and dads this evening, we went out looking at more cars ugghh I never thought I would get soooo tired of looking at something but YUCK!!! Jared and I started with Nissans - Pathfinder, and Armadas then it was the Saturn Outlook, and then we shopped Hyundai's, Then Excursions, and Tahoe’s (remember the accident with the van, oh the stuff I could hit in those) Then we moved on to Toyotas - Sequoias and 4Runner's. Somewhere in there were the Lexus, BMW"S, Mercedes, a Tourage and yes Jared even priced out a Porsche. Yesterday Jared and I priced out a VW convertible bug! (How that fits in I don’t know) and tonight I went and looked at Jeeps and Honda Pilots. If I could just narrow it down to 2 or 3. To think I started out with 1 request I told Jared he could buy me anything as long as it had a sunroof. I think we’re way past sunroofs now! He pretty much tells me it’s up to me, HELLO I said I wanted a sunroof, cut a hole in the roof of bonny and I’ll be great! We’ll see.
On the downside, or upside however one may look at it, Rob (Maddie and Lauren’s dad) got his insurance thing taken care of so Lauren will be getting her Tonsils and Adenoids out on Oct 8th, I was kinda hoping to put it off til later in the winter when she wasn’t nearly as active, but then I think to myself do I really want her to go through another cold and flu season and see her suffer, with her meatball sized tonsils (her pediatricians words, god love him).
The girls are already for school, which is in a couple of weeks, WOW how time flies! Maddie said to me yesterday, “mom do you remember changing my diapers”, she said “well I’m going to be in 4th grade now!” and that she is. We went Saturday shopping for book bags, we exhausted Kohls, Walmart, Steinmart, Tj Maxx, and an entire mall, but thank god for Target. She’s growing up so she want’s teenage type stuff, my reply “ “Hello your 10 this Barbie one looks great” as she gives me the evil eye. I don’t want my girls to grow up fast, I want them to stay young and maintain their innocence for a while longer, you know while they actually still enjoy hanging out with me. I sit in the office and watch these girls come in their little booty shorts and they looked like they just fell face first into the makeup counter at Macy’s. I know, I know I was probably once that girl, but now I am those girls’s mother, so NO! Well at least there’s Lauren shes only in Second so she went with a Pirates Of the Caribbean bag, its cute a little messenger bag, girly though, pink strap and it says “I Love Jack” much better then her first choice, that had chains coming off of it UGGGHH. She goes from one extreme to the other on everything, she’s the only girl that I know that will get up put on a skirt, go outside and find the biggest stick she can find to widdle on. That’s her new hobby, that child amazes Jared and I, she can widdle all the bark off a stick and were talking like half a tree like stick in a couple days using a plastic butter knife. She worked on her first one it took her 3 days to get the bark off, Jared then sanded it down, and they decided to cut it down, did I mention the stick was like 7 ft’ tall. Jared went to Lowes, and being the handy man he is made a beautiful walking stick out of it, they stained it and bought a brass piece for the bottom and used a faucet knob for the handle. The goal was for all the girls to do one, but we will see, Maddie and Tori seem to have lost interest after the first 5 or so minutes. Can’t say I blame them it was kinda tough for even me. So I am going to try to make pinecone bird feeders with them and see how that goes.
Well gosh its getting late and I have just rambled really about nothing so Good Night!

Reason 1001 Why I have the best husband!!!

So yesterday, was what I thought going to be an ugly day for Jared but he pulled it off pretty much stress free!! And to top it off since his scheduled changed he will be off on Wednesday’s, so when I got home he had dinner made, laundry done and even fresh sheets!!! God love him, but even more impressive, he had picked Maddie and Lauren up at they’re dads and took them shopping so when I got home I had the most beautiful flowers and thank you card from them, he is just always so thoughtful!!! He is just unbelievably selfless when it comes to me, yes I have had a rough couple days just getting back to work from vacation, just a lot of work and it’s end of month blah blah blah. But he is going through some pretty ugly things himself, switching routes at work and other not so much pleasant events. But he just kinda lets things roll off his back, with a carefree attitude, wow that is such an inspiration. I tend to get grumpy pretty easily, when things don’t go my way, where he always tries to look for the good outcome, which that man can pretty much find in any situation. I am not saying he doesn’t have his moments, because oh believe me he does, but like I keep saying to him rather he believes me or not Jan 1st 2007 was the day he turned a new leaf and our relationship and goals have taken a whole new direction, yes that even means I get lucky and win an argument now and again!! (Just kidding) but we have come to the point where we may not agree but we compromise and get over it!
Mindy’s lesson learned this week - If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything. ~Mark Twain

Other then that just working on my vacation scrapbooks, oh and trying to get motivated to do some very late spring cleaning, and doing anything in my power to avoid painting, Jared’s on to me though! I will get another vacation almost 2 weeks end of September first of October so maybe I will take some time the first week and paint and clean, the 2nd week will be Jared and I’s Anniversary week, he said he has big plans that week, I can just imagine, my only hopes, #1- I want to go see my boys (The Patriots) stomp the Bengals and #2 Go see Brad (hoping to be in the front row) we’ll see, Jared has bought me a ton of his Hershey bars, So I think I belong to the Brad Paisley fan club for the next 6 yrs. or so LOL, so we will see!

We're Back!!

Our Vacation to N.C. was absolutely wonderful. I have never seen anything more beautiful!!! The girls had a great time, site seeing, catching crabs, swimming in both the ocean and pool, collecting seashells, and yes they even managed to fit in some shopping!! Other then a few spats, as girls do, they were wonderful!! We spent our mornings usually out and about, we went to the Light House at Currituck Island, and visited the Wet Land there. We went to the driving beach, but first ended up on the wrong beach, the pedestrian beach, and stuck in the sand none the less, even though the girls were about to die of embarrassment the life guard was however very friendly, and if nothing else that’s the girls favorite story to share with everyone, even strangers!! But we went on two beautiful rides down the correct beach, we were looking for the wild horses, well it turns out people were hitting them so they have them penned up so they’re not so wild horses anymore. The girls got to go on a couple day trips with Grandma and Grandpa they got to go to the ocean, and then they got to go on a dolphin tour. It was nice it got to give Grandma and Grandpa time with them, but also gave Jared and I time to ourselves, where we spent it out shopping, I did talk him into paddle boating, we rented it for ½ hr and lasted maybe 15 minutes. Other then that we played in the pool together and just hung out.

1 day and counting.....

Just 1 day til vacation, and I was just telling my wonderful husband, I am going to need a FLIPPEN vacation to recoop from vacation. Clothes are packed and grocery shopping is officially done WOOHOO!! I have to go to the storage unit to get another bin just for the food, which will be fun and exciting. I must say I am extremely proud of my self, normally I would have taken every pair of shoes I own, NOPE not this time, 2 pair of shoes, 2 pair of shorts, 2 pair of capri’s, 3 swimsuits and a few shirts. My plan is to hibernate next to the pool or on the beach, with my Bucket ~O~ Margaritas, and forget about life for a while. I already laid down the law with the girls if you whine and cry go do it in your room, nobody wants to hear it. We will reiterate that on the way down I am sure!!! But the girls really seem to be looking forward to it, this is only Maddie and Laurens 2nd real vacation. So they are soooo excited. And Tori doesn’t get to spend much time with us due Jareds work schedule, so that will be nice.
Dr. Case said he will be screening all calls to me made from the office, not like I won’t be 100’s of miles away and can do anything anyways, but I have never been away from the office for more then a day or two, Well Vegas but that doesn’t really count, since I was with all of them. So we’ll see how that goes.
Well I better get off here and get something else done, or I just keep rambling.

2 1/2 DAYS!!!

Ok there are only 2 1/2 DAYS left until vacation, and yes the girls were packed a week ago, then I bragged because I had all this time to relax, well at 6:30 tonight Jared and I were relaxing watching T.V. and I looked at him and said “Have you figured out what your taking yet”, WELL DUH, of course not, he’s a guy so he threw me a pair of sandals and trunks and said “Yep I am packed”. Great Jared Thanks a bunch!!! No really we aren’t taking much there will be a washer and dryer at the house so we only packed for a few days, then I will do laundry. Tomorrow I will work and Thursday in the morning, then we will go to the grocery, or should I say I will go to the grocery, Jared goes with me a lot, and I really appreciate that he is there with me, as much as it sucks going to the grocery, it’s still time spent together, and since he’s a truck driver and gone ALL the time I will take what I can get, the only problem is I take him and it cost me 10x the amount then if I didn’t. For instance our last trip was to Meijer for shredded cheese, $2.00 at the most, well $78.00 and one cart full later we get home. But then I think that extra $76.00 was well worth it just to have him with me for that hour, plus I usually get a laugh or 2 out of it in the mean time, like when he tells the lady at the deli he wants 48 lbs. of turkey and she just stares at him in amazement, or he’ll try to put a candy bar in lay away, and he can do it with a dead serious look on his face. What can you do but laugh.
Anyways I can’t believe the summer is almost half over and the girls will be back in school, Lauren had an appt with the ENT to have her tonsils taken out which I am still trying to squeeze in yet this summer, we’ll see. Time sure does fly by, and I am noticing it more and more as I am doing my scrapbooking , heck I am doing Maddie and Laurens baby pictures, and they are now almost 10 and 8. Tori jut turned 10 and Jared and I will be married 2 yrs, this Oct and our first date seems like yesterday, where does the time go?
See I just ramble alot, but I use this to get all my thoughts out and then start over again.

Finally some eventul stuff!

Well Friday the 13th was actually the BEST day of the week for us! First I had to work, it was Buffies birthday, so we had a good day and a nice lunch! Then Maddie called me in the afternoon just to chat, well since I was at work I couldn't chat long, but called her and Lauren back, they just wanted to see if they could come over for a couple hours and hang out and have dinner with us. Well their father and I have an every other week shared parenting plan, so since he is already giving up his week next week so they can go on vacation with us, I was a little hesitant, but Rob said that was absolutely fine, they have been working on their roof and siding so the girls weren't really interested in helping with all that. So they came over and had dinner got to visit awhile and then we took them home. Well we got to the house to drop them off and Rob and Rene had some friends over so they asked us to hang out for a while, so we stayed and chatted for a few. Again that is wonderful that we can do that, especially since 2 yrs ago Rob and I weren't even in a place where we could speak to each other. But we have both moved on and realize we are both much happier now then when we were together, and it was for the best not only for us but the girls. And he has found Rene, and they will get married next June. I don't think I could have picked someone better for him, she loves the girls, the girls love her and I can call her to ask her a question about the girls and the next thing I know its been an hour and we have chatted about everything from the girls, to shopping, to chinese food, LOL!! So that was kinda neat, especially seeing him and Jared talk like they did when we lived just down the street from one another.
The other more exciting thing that happened was my dad called, I didn’t here the phone ring, we were outside, so I listened to his message which was “Hey hon its me dad give me a call I have some exciting news” So I thought OMG this has to be big if my dad is actually calling me, the man never just calls out of the blue, yes were close, I see him at least once a week, but he’s just not the chatty talk on the phone kinda guy. So I call him back, and boy did he sound like a little kid with a sack full of candy and a can of Jolt. He is over at the Goodguys Car show in Columbus, with his hot rod, and he had been out walking around and when he got back to the car there was a card on the front seat from the editor of STREET RODDER magazine, with an arrow pointing to his cell number and it said CALL ME! So my dad turned to Billy, the guy he was with and said “What do you make of this” Billy said ‘Call Him” so dad did the guy asked him if he was at the car and told him to wait right there and he would be there in five. So he got there and told dad that his car was chosen as one of the top ten of the show by STREET RODDER magazine and that they wanted to do a full photo shoot!! And that he also picked up one of the coveted Street Rodder Top 100 awards of the year presented by Turtle Wax for his '26 Ford and that he would be featured in the magazine. WOOHOO GO DAD!! So he gets do all kinds of fun things, he gets a special parking spot and on Sunday he will be one of the 10 that get to drive their cars into the coliseum for an acknowledgement ceremony. That is a huge thing for him to be chosen 1 of 10 out of over 6,500 cars. That is so COOL!! My dad has always had some kind of hot rod since I was born, if not two and that is what he works so hard for, so I am so proud of him!! I am going to do a special page just for him.
Ahhhh……… Long winded I know sorry.

Not much more...

Still an uneventful week. I did get all the girls packed and ready for vaction next week. Jared and I had a nice almost relaxing day today together, we ran errands, and took our car for an oil change, in which that was almost eventful, since we pulled away and the washer fluid light came on, after they said they just filled it. So we got to go back and Jared got to get cranky with them woohoo!! Did I mention they also forgot to check the tires, after they just told us they made sure they were set at 32 or whatever that means. Then we got to the go to the health food store, so Jared could show me these candles he found, let me tell you they are the neatest things ever, they are called a 3~in~1 candle it is not only a candle but it also turns into massage oil and lotion. He visits there alot, last week he bought me Ginseng soap, which I LOVE!!! and coconut oil lotion for my dry nasty feet. He's such a great husband!!
So I guess I will take the rest of the week and finish packing the odds and ends for next week and then relax and work on more pages before we leave!

Not much...

It has been a very uneventful week, even when things seem like they are going to get exciting they don't, which in our world is great. Heres an example, last evening, I pointed out to Jared the kitchen faucet was leaking and leaking under the sink. Well after he turned beat red and veins popping, we got in the car went to Lowes purchased a new faucet, and plumbing supplies came home, at this point you can just tell he's really fired up and just ready to throw tools, when he went to disassemble the faucet, the sprayer had just came loose from the hose, just needed to be tightend. So no new faucet, and no yelling woohoo!!
Other then that I had a few days off this week with Maddie and Lauren, we had a girls day, shopping and lunch, it was their first shopping spree and they had a blast! Lauren only set the store alarms off twice, she didn't realize you couldnt get that close to the front of the store. Anyways they got new swimsuits and outfits for our vacation to Nags Head in 2 weeks from today yippee!!!
Tonight we will be going to the Dragons game with everyone thats going on vacation so that should be fun, other then that be lazy so I can save my energy for packing next week!

Lifes little moments...

Ok occasionally, I will brag on my wonderful husband. Now understand, I am not one of those people that believe that life is all-grand and everyday is splendid, believe me it ain’t! I like to believe life is a bowl of cherries, and we just come across a couple of pits every now and again. Or like my husband tells me “Honey if we were June and Ward Cleaver life would be boring”.

So let me share with you my one and only tip for a great marriage: Laughter

With that being said yesterday my husband and I stumbled across a pit, otherwise known as a disagreement. So we were having a discussion yesterday. Lets go back to last fall, We were going somewhere and I was driving, for one reason or another I was flustered and went to back out of the drive way, in the man-a-van (my husbands unique name for the mini van I make him drive, because yes it sucks that bad, not mini vans in general, just ours) Anyways back to the story, I am backing up and somehow completely missed the car that’s parked maybe 15-20 feet behind me. Well needless to say, something went bang and the van shook, So with a smile on my face and in my sweetest voice I turned to Jared and said what was that, his reply “That!, that was a flippen car.” At which point he growled at me! So we got out looked, it left a small dent, I went and told the person who was so nice about it, she said it was perfectly fine, no big deal. And life was good, until ….yesterday. We were discussing his Corvette, and why I don’t like to drive it unless absolutely necessary. I explained to him if something happened to it, he would be so mad at me and I would feel awful, Well him being the caring husband he is said “Oh its ok that’s what they have body shops for” At which point we revisited last fall. I said "Remember the van?", Imagine if I wrecked something we actually liked. He said, kinda Attitudy Judy like, “Well you backed up and you didn’t even look behind you” My reply
“So what your saying is I can hit stuff as long as I look at it first, Wow that doesn’t seem like an accident to me. If you ask me my opinion, If I saw something and I was going to hit it I would say to myself I really need to rethink this.” We both started laughing hysterically and his reply “You know what honey hit whatever you’d like”

My first post... Thank you!!!

First I want to start by saying thank you to all my friends who have left the NICEST comments on my scrapbooks and have been amazingly friendly, and all of you that have joined as fans thank you. Last night I joined the forum "Let me tell you a bit about that", I had bought a new program, and after a few hours of trying to figure it out myself, and much frustration I finally gave up and asked for help and within a few moments I had not one but two of the most helpful responses. SO THANK YOU again!!!
