Pleasant words are as a honeycomb ....
February 27, 2008

Hi everyone hope everything is good for you. I would appreciate your prayers for my 4 year old grandson. We had him at the hospital yesterday and his blood isn't clotting properly. He has had nose bleeds for the last 2 weeks and is covered in bruises where they think he is bleeding under the skin when he has a knock or a fall. We are awaiting the results today of the second set of blood test. Please pray. Thank you. Love and blessings, Jean x

Where did January go

I just can't believe it is February already. It's quite cold today but we haven't really had any snow to speak of although some parts of the country have and the weather men still insist we'll be having a lot of snow soon. I love scrapping my grandsons, they have such beautiful smiles and if I figure out how to add just a couple of pages I'll include them here. I've tried to do it but I seem to add all of my pages. Have a great week.

2008

It does not seem 5 minutes ago that we had Christmas and here we are half way through January - a very belated Happy and Blessed new year to you all. It has started with lots of rain here in the Midlands but no snow so something to be thankful for. Hope you all have a great year.

My grandsons birthday

It was my grandsons 4th birthday today. He had a party yesterday where I realised that at my age (albeit I am a recycled teenager) one should not join in with 4 year old activities that are energetic. I followed him into a huge blown up caterpillar (is that how you spell it, it doesn't look right)with my 9 month year old grandson only to find there was a slide at the other end. I just could not get up that slide it just kept folding beneath me (perhaps my size had something to do with it). In the end I was helped up only to end up going down the slide head first, very undignified, rolling over onto my shoulder and now it hurts - no I did not break it but boy it felt like it. It was a great party and tonight we celebrated by going out for pizza with him. He just had a whale of a time so my Benjamin bunny - Happy 4th birthday, your nana will sit on the side lines next time I think. I'll do a page when I get some pics sorted but thankfully non of me going down the slide ... phew ...

Nearly Christmas

Hi all, I'm almost over my cold, left with an unpleasant cough but hey hopefully I wont need to worry about catching cold over the Christmas holidays. I've got a hectic week this week and one of the highlights i my grandsons 4th birthday. He's having a party with a lot of 4 year old friends (I can hear the noise already - will I be able to cope in my old age :) I ask myself - yeah sure too I'm a recycled teenager after all). I've just posted a Christmas card to you all and in case I don't get to write any more before the big day I wish you all a blessed Christmas and health and happiness in the coming year. May the festive season prove to be all you expect it to be. Hope you like the page. Happy Christmas to you all. If you get the chance to read my blog drop me a line to say hi.

Amazing what you learn

Well here I am another day scrapbooking till all hours I must get some sleep, especially as I'm full of cold and think I may have a chest infection. Doctors Monday if no better. I've just found out how to add extra pages thanks to my friend Claudine. I just love this digital scrapbooking, it's just amazing what you learn. There's something new everytime you create a page. All I need now is to be able to print the pages so that I can give them as gifts in a frame. I love the one I did of mam and dads wedding and would love to print that one out to give to my mam

Withdrawal symptoms

Well hi again, while I've enjoyed looking at some of your pages and they are fantastic, I have to say I'm having withdrawal symptoms not being able to create a page, so much so I'm having to add a page to my blog just to say I've done something so here's some of my beautiful grandsons. I love them, hope you do too. God Bless

Babysitting no scrapbooking

Hi all, well tonight I'm babysitting so no scrapbooking for me but I have enjoyed looking at all the wonderful pages you've done, there are some very talented people out there. I'm feeling a bit grotty as I'm full of cold and have an earache but it could be worse. I might not have my son and daughter in law's lap top and might not be able to post a few words in my blog. It was a lovely surprise this morning getting a post from my li'l sis in texas. I've just seen a challenge for 'wishes' and I guess one of mine would be to be able to see my sis at Christmas. I at least get to visit the family it's only a 3 hour drive but it must be harder for her not being able to get here to be with us all. Maybe one day. Have a nice day everyone and happy scrapping

The Thistle

I spent a lovely day out with my mam when I last visited Sunderland and we went to the Wildfowl Centre in Washington. I took this pic of the thistle because it just looked so elegant amongst the trees. I've just uploaded this page, it's just such a lovely memory of a lovely day spent with my mam - I don't get many as I live away.
Hope you all have a great weekend.

Lichfield lights

Bit of a wet day but this evening was nice. I went into town with the family to see the switching on of the lights. The children loved it. Everyone stood around the market square and sang carols, before the lights were turned on to oo's and aarh's. I didn't have my camera with me so can't scrap a page but I've got the memory. We all went for a burger afterwards.

Visit to North East

I visited my mam up in Sunderland back in the summer and had a lovely time. My sister and I went out to a tapas bar and had a lovely meal and caught up with all the news. We walked over the Millenium Bridge. We went out with mam and my sister's husband to a Thai restaurant, first time I'd ever had Thai and it was delicious. I took the photos and did the pages as a reminder of a lovely time.

It's Sunday

I tried to add a page to my blog the other day but when I tried to post it wouldn't let me so I'm hoping this one does. I was babysitting last night and my adorable grandson woke me at 5.30 so needless to say I am now extremely tired but just thought I'd blog for a while and then have a look at some pages in the gallery and maybe add one of my own before I fall asleep. I did some enamelling today and made quite a few pendants. I had an order for 6 which was nice. Wouldn't it be nice to spend the day scrapbooking and enamelling.

Busy days

Since finding sbf I have spent more hours at the computer than ever before but I love it. I must stop staying up so late though as I'm getting bags under my eyes ... suitcases in fact but hey there's just something about having created a page and then looking at what a lot of you have done. There are some pretty wonderful and awesome pages out there. Have a great weekend and happy scrapping.

Well here I am bloggin', not sure how or why but it seems like a good idea a place to write a lot of nice words cos as the verse says ... Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul and health to the bones (Prov 16:24). Hope those who know me enjoy the blogs if I manage to get more than this one done. Hope those who don't know me enjoy reading about the things I like.
