Scrapping, Keepsakes, Journaling and Storytelling

What a wonderful discovery this site has been! I had already started scanning in older photos because they were fadding. And after grabbing all of the photo albums and family frames with the last hurricane evacuation, I decided that the precioius memoories I chose to preserve in film would better be served in digital space.
My first digital projects were on PowerPoint and MovieMaker - very reminiscent of mother's slide shows.
We just purchased a nice, simle digital - wow, it is so much better than the 35mm disposables! No waiting to take the last 3 pictures to get them developed (and on disk).
I found Scrapbook Flair as I was searching for a place to create and store. The program is easy to learn and produce a nice layout. My first "book" was completed in less than 2 hours! (it's the Birthday Wishes" zoo book)
My second attempt was to do something with the sad and sorry attempt of picture taking at Disney. I created a "fairy tale" for my daughter. She was so impressed, that she is eager to write her own. Something that I have been trying to get this 9yo homse schooler to do for months! Hope to post her story by the end of the week!
