Through the window

Well I'm glad that i took photo's of the first frost this year as it seems it is the only frosts of this end of the year. It has done nothing but rain and then a little sun. The gorse bushes have flowered in the sunniest places, my apple tree still has summer leaves on it, tender plants have their leaves on and some show signs of new growth. The whole weather system has changed.and plantlife with it. Trees have blown over in the park behind us, where they thinned out the trees to put the path in it has left them in a weak state and 50ft trees mainly conifers have gone over root ball and all.
I keep promising myself to take my camera when I take the dog a walk over there. I will take a few shots of the upturned and falling trees.
I have made a window frame in pse4 and used it on a layout I have done. Jack Frost's finger Painting. I used a brush called desert cracks to make the frost apperance in white. I used layers throughout for every part of the composition.
I have made the window frame available to anyone for as long as it stays at Megaupload.

Have a play with it add curtains, frost snow cobwebs what ever you fancy have fun

More pressies

Well my sis and I have been hard at work scrapping. Having fun and learning as we go. We talk most days on Msn messenger or Skype.(im presuming here that the world knows what Skype is).She lives in France and I live in Wales. We transfer our work to one another and have as much fun as if our desks were next to each other. Better really as we dont argue at all(not that we really do anyhow ;-) Well along the way she came up with some very pretty ideas for backgrounds and the result was Fantasy In Blue. I have the link here for a sample of it if you want to try it. Send me a link with your layout as I would love to see what ideas someone else comes up with . I have used it 3 times now Shady Lady lo,Snow scene, and Nicholas birth certificate layout. I love all the textures and feel to all the backgrounds. Its one of those things where you want to use them all at once.......
Anyhow babbling on here is the link for the sample kit
http://www.bestsharing.com/files/ms001186007/Fantasy%20in%20Blue%20Add%20on.zip.html
Cut and paste it into your browser and it should be there. If it isnt then email me and I will fix it.
Hoping you all have relaxing holidays(hahah) and that you scrap the resulting memories.
Happy Scrapping

Update on the Bubbles

I have a link that is valid for the next 7 days for the bubbles files in png format and also the file to place within paintshoppro shapes folder.http://www.yousendit.com/download/pGs4p50kp3k%3D
Feel free to download and use it.
Do not though credit me with making it as it is a file i found a couple of years ago and forgot about.
If you use photoshop go to (copy and paste this link)
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?r=0&t=11&pgsel1=6#loc=en_us&view=sn710&viewName=Photoshop%20Exchange&t=11&pgsel1=6&avm=1

Look under styles for glass buttons. then place it in your adobe ps directory under presets styles. Go up a level choose previews/cache/effects-cache and delete the 3 files within to reset your styles to include the new glass buttons. the transparent style button is the one to use.

Happy hunting and scrapping

Keeping in touch....

There are so many really kind people on this site and the community that has built up here is in my opinion 2nd to none. Entirely different to other Scrapbooking sites the fact it is here to display and share our efforts plain and simple is a refreshing change to the purchase driven shops that have galleries.
I have enjoyed displaying my work, from when I first started and had my very first comment to now when I feel confident enough to share some of the things I have learned or some of the items I have made. I feel quite loyal to this site and although I post elsewhere over the internet this is always the first to get the layout posted.
Having waxed lyrical on the pleasures of this site I myself am thankful to those who provide this service and software, and am more than happy to recommend to anyone wanting to start scrapbooking...start here.
I have posted to a file sharing site a small kit that I am happy to pass on the link to. My sister and myself designed this and have used it ourselves. Please copy and paste the web address into your browser and download and enjoy.
As always Happy Scrapping

Bubbles.......

I was so inspired by the bubbles on sandra-maries pages that she and I went searching the internet for the original. Finally I found a file that I have had some time in my psp7 and havent really played with it. We think it is the exact one.Because a lot of friends have asked both Sandra and now myself about them I uploaded the file to the website below.
It is active for the 7 days after the date of the blog. I will put up another link, to best sharing when I get a moment to do it.
Here is the link to the bubbles files that are popular at the moment they certainly are with me. I dont know who the original artist is as I had the file for ages. So dont credit me with making it .

http://www.bestsharing.com/f/OVRgT1193103
The files contained in the zip folder are
a 12x12 png file to use as you will.Put it over the top of a shaped photo.
a text file with a bit of explanation on
the shape file for Paint shop Pro which you put into Shapes folder with in the program.

Just cut and paste the address into your webbrowser and follow the instructions on the page.
As always happy scrapping.

Having fun with searching the Internet.

Well I have had Mazzie off from school all week with tonsilitis. She has been doing scrapbook pages of her own with no help form me and even though I dont particularly like her subject matter i think she has done well really. she is into the Sims and designing her own clothing for them. Rather colourful clothing I must say.
I enjoyed uk volume one by jvanderb. Some nice honeymoon memories within those pages . I must say congratulations for the obviously recent marriage she has made.
There are lots of very talented people within the Scrapbookflair community. I have enjoyed scrapping here and also looking at everyone else's work. What a wealth of imagination and creativity there is between us all.
One thing that has been of interest is the bubble elements that some have used. I looked all over(as far as I could anyhow) the net for something similar either to make or get a tutorial for and lo and behold I have the means in my psp7 shapes. I never noticed it before. It isnt a shape that came with the software but one I have collected along the way.So I cant give credit to anyone.
However if anyone wants the png file I made from it pm me and I will email you the file to use with all software for scrapping.
I am quite please with the finished result but have yet to post the layout.
The sun has been out all day today and it is crisp and clear in the sky. I think any lingering blossoms on my plants will be sad little blooms tomorrow when the frost hits them. Considering it is November it is unseasonably warm and mild.
Got to go and start dinner now, so I will sign off , dont forget if you want a copy of the bubble png i made email me at Suliz@f2s.com or pm through Scrapbookflair.

the last of the summer...

Well the sun is still there but low in the sky, it makes the grass and trees glitter with the heavy dew on them and early in the morning the frost glitters and twinkles white.
My plants have been rescued and put in the porch until next spring and the winter baskets of pansies and other winter hardy plants are doing well.
Cats and dog are seeking the warmth of the house all the time even though the cats like to hunt and stay in the planthouse at the bottom of the garden, they have a hay bale they sleep on but it holds no attraction for them the first days of frosty cold.
Life moves slowly in South West Wales, one of the reasons i love it so. We have had a hawk living in the conifers to the back of us. He has scared all the little birds in silence. They are still there but are not shouting about it.They have put a path in behind all the properties on our bit of the road, it leads up to the national park where there is a lake and an area of special scientific interest. I think this is what has disturbed the hawk.
There are foxes hawks rabbits, and all kinds of wildlife. some of it visits our garden. Last year i looked after a poorly hedgehog. He lasted 2 days but was in decline and finally snuffed it. But at least he had clean water , food and hay to hide in. He died peacefully.
Well blathering along is all I have done so far. I am really excited by digital artwork and follow the trends wherever it goes and for the past year or so it has lead me to Scrapbooking. Here I have found a niche where I can indulge my passion for photography and digital art. I think I will stay.
I have been designing some kits for scrappers. The competition is so fierce in the wider digital scrapbooking world thatIi fear I dont have the stamina for it. I think I like to give my 'makings' away. So stop by from time to time and cut and paste the links I give and you can get a free kit to play with .Here is the link to Ice Princess
