Info on how I did the scrapbook with the "negatives"...

The scrapbook page I'm talking about is at http://www.scrapbookflair.com/Neighborgal/Baby_Face_Allison/page1

To answer a few questions:
I made the template myself using Paint Shop Pro. PSP has a picture tube of a negative (at least in the older versions anyway). I made a new layer and put the negative across it at size 250 %. If I remember correctly then had to save it as a new picture tube and use the bigger one at 250 % to get it big enough for the 300 dpi.

Next I copied and pasted this layer as many times as I could to cover the page.

Next Merge all layers.

Next I used the magic wand and selected one area of the negative that I wanted to put a picture into and then "cut" the selection. I pasted it onto the picture that I was going to use and lowered the opacity underneath it to make sure I had it centered correctly. Sometimes you may have to reduce the size of a picture first before doing this step. Once it is where you want it use the magic wand and click on the outside of the layer you just pasted on and then click on the photo layer and click on "copy".

Next go back to your page and click on "paste" to paste the picture as a new layer. Drag it to the area that you originally copied and give it a slight drop shadow if you need it.

Keep doing this over and over till the page is covered in pictures and there you have it : )

Hope this helps! If you need me to clarify anything let me know... if you are not real familier with Paint Shop Pro this is probably as clear as mud :(

Take Care,
Valerie

PS: If anyone would like the simplified way of doing this I do have a template that I can email you. I can't however figure out how to make the openings stay transparent for scrapbook flair. If anyone knows how I can do this please let me know : )
