Going back through my pics I have had many memories come rushing back of the clothes and even some of the days I wore them. Of course mom made all my clothes and she is right there with those memories..

What a FANTASTIC idea and great way to celebrate such an impressive skill. Making your own clothes seems to be a lost art in America today (especially here in LA) but it is a wonderful talent if you have it. I too have very very fond memories of some of the clothes my mother made for me. And i so loved working with her in choosing material, patterns, buttons……
I had long since forgotten until you broght up this challenge. THANKS!

You are so right Denise, you don't hear much about people making clothes any more. I'm sure that with my family it was a means to get by.
I sewed a little for my daughter in the early 70s because she was so hard to fit..But not a lot of it any more.
Yes it is a wonderful talent, like a lot of others it is becoming a lost art.
