Candid vs. Posed
I find when shooting a wedding I take some of the shots the pro takes but when they take a break from shooting is when I take more shots. The groom leaning into the bride for a secret whisper is better than any posed shot!

I totally agree ~ I recently took my camera along to a demonstration for my work ~ we had paid a professional nearly £1000 to take publicity shots but they ended up using mine as they were more natural and full of ativity whilst the pro were all staged and dull.

I like both, my hubby always say's take natural shots but sometimes I prefer the posed.
My 8 yr old daughter always makes a pose everytime I am taking photo's she is a little pain some times.

You cant beat the candid shots, thats when you catch who people really are. In a posed shot everyone smiles whether they feel it of not. When you catch them candidly they will show you what they are really feeling, I believe the best historical shots as well are unopposed glimpses into the soul.

definately for the candid shots -- even when getting them professionaly done - a few candids usually sneak in.
