Is Scrapbook Flair Aurora Digital Scrape booking program compatible with Windows 10? I have downloaded it tried to install it and it will not open. I have tried to update it and still no progress. I read the specs for it and nothing is mentioned for Windows 10. Suggestions?

The link for page Non_traditional_Christmas_noel_blue has been fixed. We found some invisible characters in front of the page name, which broke the link. To avoid unnecessary troubles, you may want to use only numbers and letters for your page name. Thanks.

For Xguern66,
We uploaded a page using your account successfully. You may see it as a private page. If you got the same error message, it should be the page name issue. Thanks.

For Eiledon,

ScrapbookFlair software can run on Windows 10. You need to download and install .net Framework 1.1 from the following link before installing the ScrapbookFlair Software:

Joce... I saw your last two messages & I e-mailed the programmers so they can get on top of your problem as soon as they possibly can.

Part of my job as "Guest Editor" not only makes me part of the Flair Support but if I can't answer a certain technology issue then I let them know ASAP. We certainly don't want the frustration level to get too high to lose current members or have new members having problems!

I have been a member since 2006 when this wonderful site began even though my first user name was odinaz and having to take a couple long sabbaticals after being bedridden starting in 2009 through a great deal of 2011 & then losing my husband in June 2012. I know a lot of people come and go for different reasons but I hope not only will the current members such as yourself stay but to get new members.

Hi Joce - I've just done some experiments with uploading. It seems that SbF won't allow us to upload large files any more. Your rectangular pages are very large at 8700 x 6300 pixels and very high res at 300 dpi, which is print quality and not really necessary for viewing on the internet. Try converting down to 1200 x 869 pixels and 96 dpi. Your enlargement obviously won't be as big as on your previous pages but it will be adequate. Hope this works for you, it does for me.

By the way, I've just uploaded a page with the above dimensions and named it "Christmas 2018" WITH the quotation marks and it worked just fine, so I think the problem lies with the size of the file.

Xguern66 says:
Thanks for that Sandra. I'll give it a try. Does that mean if I want then to print or share the page elsewhere I will have to resize again because I would want better quality for that. What a pain if SBF have just decided to change their system I have always had my pages at 300 and have never had any problems. I won't be happy if I have to keep resizing - my pages aren't only for SBF.

Xguern66 says:
OK I've been playing around and it seems it is only my 21x29inch pages that SBF no longer likes and as that is the size I want to do all my family pages so that I can print them (A4) then I think SBF have just lost a member. I'm very disappointed.

Sandra is definitely on the right track. I keep forgetting to mention this or ask that question to the higher-ups (I'm only the Guest Editor) when we get together for our weekly meetings.

I have wondered because my pages usually end up at least 3 megabytes & sometimes 4 which actually IS high quality & I always choose 300 dpi (high resolution). Anyway, there has been only one or two instances where I have had to downsize to get one of my pages uploaded and therefore below 4 megabytes but, like I said, that is still a very large size for a page along with always keeping my pages 300 dpi (highest resolution).

I am going to send your message via e-mail to the programmers even though yesterday I sent them the latest (as of yesterday) of what was posted in this thread.

Please try to hang around with us for a little while longer Joce. There is always room for change in my humble opinion.

scrapfiend says:
Joce - No, you don't have to keep resizing. You can carry on making your pages as usual and keep them on file for printing etc.

For SbF you would simply make a duplicate and change the size and resolution, giving it another title so you don't confuse them. I usually keep my original name and add SbF at the end, then keep them in a separate folder called SbF Uploads. It only needs doing once.

I make all my pages in GIMP, which is a free program, and it scales down with one click, no hassle at all. I'm sure that all the paid programs can do it too.

Please try to upload your large page again (6300x8700). We located the issue, which was caused by HTTPS update. You should have no issue to upload the file.

Just popped in for an update and see these responses from Support - thank you so much for working on this I will definitely try again. Thank you Sandra all so. I really didn't want to start a separate file for printable pages - what a bother that would have been and I don't have the time. Thank you I'm off to try. Joce

Hi I just had to get my 2 cents in LOL!!! I use pgs that are sized 12x12 at 200 dp, I do keep the originals as I can have them printed any where inc scrapbook please, as long as they are 300dp and 12x12, having them larger must really use lots of memory space.

When I first started with SBF (2006 using username odinaz) I did not even know how to make 12 x 12 pages or anything about dpi but I have surely learned! I remember printing out 12 different ones for my great nephew who was much younger then & putting together an album for his mom & dad (my niece & her husband).

Now, for the longest time, I have been using 12 x 12 & 300 dpi for SBF. Sometimes it depends on what embellishments I am using (either from the net or of my own) whereby some of those embellishments are HUGE where I have to make them smaller in my program. My point is that as long as I make them under 4 megabytes - SBF allows my page to upload. I have a lot of cleaning up to do on my PC since I still have a TON of images that my husband was collecting says he loved digital art. He has hundreds of landscapes, fantasy, and so many others by different artists. I also have a bunch of programs that take up room. I wish there was more PC savvy & the time but doing what I can.

Thank you Support, all is working fine now and I can upload my 21x29inch pages. I make family pages that size Simone because I print them myself here on my own printer on photo paper and I don't have a printer capable of printing other sizes. I can't afford to have as many printed elsewhere. All other pages I make are like Lori - 12x12 and 300dpi. I haven't had problems uploading any of them until now. Again thank you Support for fixing the problem. Joce

I think I am having the same problem but I have not had the time to try it out. Secondly, Support (including myself) and I met this past Wednesday night (for our weekly phone conference re: Scrapbookflair issues)to cover so many issues with Scrapbookflair.

I then lost my phone connection with the other 3 team Support members. We did cover a lot but after I lost my "phone conference" to get together with all of them before we were finished. I DID tell them or ask them if they addressed your other issue yet Kathy (from a while ago) but since it was so late & they could not hear me we are going to have to wait till next week for me to address your recent questions.

Now there is the "changing photos" or "individual icons" or changing descriptions of ourselves on our own homepages to cover but only have once a week to cover this.

You may see something from Support this coming Monday or Tuesday which covers all issues so look for it. :-)
