Thank you for the update. I started to panic when I couldn't get to the site and realized I didn't have anyone's email address to report the issue. I'm glad it seems to be better today, and also to know that it's a known problem that is being monitored.

I was locked out for 4 hours last evening (Saturday NZ time) gave up until this morning. Hope it's fixed soon - it must be quite a problem for you - thanks for working on it. Joce.

Yes, Jayne & Joce... I found out about the site being down for several hours today here in the United States by having Steve mention it to the programmers. They are still working on what is going on & I am sure members are getting frustrated with it.

Technology is great when it is working. I just had someone here for several hours trying to get behind the problem of my voice recognition software that I NEED to use to operate my Desktop PC and my tablet & he got it working at one point but he thinks the bottom line is that my tablet is getting older now (9 years) and the version of the voice recognition software is even older. But all of this is so beyond my cognitive abilities & paying for a new tablet like mine or the program for my dictation costs $$$$$$. God I wish my husband was alive to be able to fix everything he put together for me and was able to fix at any given time being a software engineer/hardware engineer & more.

Nov. 15 update: if you've been having difficultly reaching SBF or gotten the message that the site is not secure, it was because our SSL certificate expired. We have renewed it and all is well.

Great news because I was fearing the worse by some hacker getting into my computer with the message I got. Thank you Support!!!

Today I had to re-enter my password because my server told me again that the site is not secure - the padlock has a red line through it. I still went on site but I think this needs to be seen to again. Also total votes on pages are altering every time a page is opened. Comments from friends are appearing twice in my home gallery. Just letting you know about these Support.

Scrapbook Flair has been moved to a new upgraded server to solve the connection issues we encountered recently. We are still watch it closely for any issues pop up.

Here is an update on all the latest changes & major projects on SBF (2 posts):

o New Server Transfer Complete. After nearly a year of effort both ScrapbookFlair and ScrapbooksPlease have been migrated over to the Amazon web services platform and the latest versions of server software. This should mean greater site stability and fewer outages going forward. One reason we had these outages was because of the switchover itself – which was a substantial technical effort. We appreciate everyone’s patience with these glitches – they were done with the intent of making everything more solid and stable for the future.

o Expired Security Certificate. On two different occasions in the last few months, you may have gotten a message like: this site is not secure – go back to safety. This was due in part to the changeover described above, but also due to temporary lapses in our security certificate, which happened without our technical staff being notified. While this could happen again, your information has always been safe and was never exposed to any hackers or bad actors – regardless of what these notices say. Our Member data safety is and will always be a top priority for us and we are sorry if this was concerning.

o Community email. As a consequence of our Amazon and server migration, we had to disable and then reconnect our external email (not our internal messaging system). We are slowly restoring the external email functionality and expect to have it up and fully operating by the end of December.

Anyway I don't see new freebies in the download section anymore....I always looked forward to the great seasonal embellishments so generously shared by members.....
Is that not a thing anymore? Does anyone know where I can find some neat embellishments 0nline? TIA

If you go into Market Place there are still loads of freebies - maybe you can find what you want there.

At the top [right next to the Marketplace... to the left of it] it says "Downloads." If you click on that it takes you to tons of free downloads; each and every one categorized.

A little over a year ago I think it was I became the new "Guest Editor" so that folder under forums is where I make any announcements, news, etc. with SBF. I hope to see you upload a page soon and well come back!!!!

Also, under forums, there is the "General" folder at the very bottom and someone came back not to long ago (Scrapping Jayne) who just posted something interesting there. I have noticed that a lot of people go to that folder for questions also. But you put your question in a good folder. Again, hope to see you active again soon!
