When resizing your photo grab the corners of the box around the image and resize using the corners. This will preserve the aspect ratio of the photo. If you wish to just move it in the slot provided, you can use the little buttons on the left for positioning it in the image slot. Usually in Scrapbook Flair the aspect ratio is locked. If you need to unlock it to resize please use the corners to resize, not the sides or the bottom/top. Then your photo will not be "squished".
