This is my Great great Grandfather and Grandmother. Benoni and Mary LaChance. We're not sure who the baby is other then possibly a grandchild. This pic was taken on their front porch on Mackinac Island around the turn of the century. Benoni was a Sargent in the Civil War, returning a hero (after leading the remains of his troop back from Vicksburg) and later became Mayor of the Island.
