About this scrapbook page: |
The communities of Mayerthorpe and Whitecourt were devastated by the deaths of four young RCMP Constables, March 3, 2005. In the midst of the grief and shock the citizens of each community conducted themselves with dignity and respect and showed the world the pride rural communities have in their RCMP. It is a devastating story on what should have been a routine call. If you would like to know this story, please go to www.fallenfour.ca/index.html

My daughter's father is a paramedic and had been working in Mayerthorpe for awhile just before this happened, and his mom works for the RCMP in Elkford BC so it touched a lot of people from around the province and country. Wonderful tribute to them.

Adele - undeniably representative of true heroism! The brutal & senseless deaths of these 4 young men on what should have been a routine day to serve & protect; sent shock waves right across the country leaving many in disbelief. Thought their colleagues might wish to see your tribute, so I sent along the link to a family member on the Edmonton detachment to share. Well done.
