About this scrapbook page:
Oh Dear!! I remember my first meeting with one of these, when I was introduced to 'country living' with John's family! Oh Those winter nights! I did soon learn to whistle too!!

Oh my yes I remember too well......both sets of grandparents had one..... cut up newspaper or dressmakers patterns for 'tissue'...

OMG, I almoust forgot about these ... LOL ... At my grandmom's house we had to use those some ... 30 years ago. But still some country houses and even mountain huts have them. To have to use those, well, it's and adventure ... LOL. Great scrap!

Oh NO - you remember the brewhouse of your last page - well this was our 'LAV' at the back - the one I cut squares of newspaper up for - No light - No lock and shared by three families - I was 11 when we finally moved to a house with an indoor bathroom - Heaven xx

was in the chicken coop !! Here a peck there a peck !! Also they had a "Sears and Roebuck" catalog to read . And gee would you believe

Oh ya my in-laws are from Ark, and his grampa and gramma had one way out in the garden way out there, next to the pig pen so while you were in there the ole pig was a snortin thru the slats, lolol
Well from that point on (be a city slicker from California) not knowin there was still those things. I made sure to go before I left my in laws house with in door fixtures.

Yes I remember we had one and we had to draw water from a well with a bucket and rope at the same house until my dad built a bathroom and dug a sewage. It was awful.to use that

they used to use torn up page...either news or scraps from the shopping bags or wrapping paper, so gran said....oh for the inside loo...great memory page as was the others....
