I took the pictures of Perkins home and statue. The pics of Perkins and pic of our welcome center in background are from the internet.
Hindman is the birthplace of Carl D. Perkins.(father of Carl C. Perkins) Carl d. is known for working to better the lives of Appalachian residents.
