You are a wonderful mother, that you write down this so freely. During the time my children where little I had this thoughts many times and could only talk about it with my mother and 1 of of my sisters inlaw. I hope your problems are solved by now. I know now they overgrow it.

No answers, and I don't have young children, only grandchildren, but I do pray a lot and find my strength in Jesus for whatever I'm going through. I just love your page and your journalling and you sound like you're a fantastic mum.

Talk to a professional. There may be fear of the dark, or a reminder of a nightmare etc. Strength in your parenthood. Many of us have been through it but luckily forget about it, once the kids grow up. Hugs to you.

Great way of airing your feelings.Try to observe his daily active-pattern, Some children are hyper-active before bedtime. They are not sleepy at 'that' moment. They should have used that energy to play. Slow things down after supper and bath. 'Prepare' him for bedtime and turn all activities down to the lowest gear. This is a learning phase.

This is a beautiful page. Your honest journaling touched my heart...I am having a (much smaller) version of this with my 2-year-old. Whenever Mommy is around, all he wants is Mommy, and he almost always wants uppies. Great way to get your feelings out. And your element choices on your page are wonderful!

wonderful idea to vent out your frustration in your beautiful scrap, sometimes articulating those frustrations does wonders. you have a loving heart, you'll survive.

this is such a powerfully involving and moving scrap. i'm a working mom working in a very time and energy consuming field but i must admit that the few times i took a vacation from work when my children were growing up, i found myself more exhausted and needing a vacation from my vacation. confirming that being a mom is the toughest job of all!

It is hard to raise kids some times it is very difficult. I feel suffocated quite often. No one seems to understand the feelings. To have a few minutes of quite time is all alot of us ask for and few receive. My oldest son hardly has anything to do with me now that he is a teen. I kind of miss the time when he was young and wanted me. Crazy I know. Love your page.

Schmooze says:
When my youngest went through this we used a 'three strikes you're out' policy. We would put her to bed, read a book with her, give her a kiss & say goodnight. If she got up again we would put her back to bed - no book. 2nd time: no book, no kiss. 3rd time: no book, no kiss, no goodnight. If she got up again after this we would put her back to bed in silence. VERY tough to do but it worked for us!

Oh, I wish so desperately to have an answer for you. One of my grandson's was like that, but he eventually grew out of it. So I guess patience is the only answer I have.
Thanks for sharing with us.
