About this scrapbook page:
I had to do this page for 'Veggie Craze'!
Not many people realize that dandelion is used for its flower, stem and root. (medicinal and edible:)
But...I live in the part of the country that doesn't have them growing wild...so I can say how cute they are:):)

I must admit I did not know that and I love your recipe!!! This page is so bright and beautiful and, since then, I have learned that so many supplements are either plants or foods we would never recognize as being good for you or for one thing or another. Marshmallow root is a supplement supposedly it it is used for bladder pain.

and drink it as tea...haven't tried it myself.
super page!!

gypsykate says:
i didn't read anything that says that dandelions are vegetables, but i did read in wikipedia that vegetables are edible parts of the plants other than sweet fruit or seed and the word is not scientific but based on culinary and cultural tradition so application is somewhat subjective. mushrooms, for example, are considered vegetables by some so i guess dandelions could be considered a vegetable.

What a beautiful page. Love all the yellow you have brought out. I love the yellow flowers on dandelions but really dislike having so many of them in my yard once the white fluffy parts appear. I didn't realize they were used for medicinal and edible purposes. How interesting.
