There was a time when men were kind, When their voices were soft & their words inviting. My interpretation for Kate's 'I dreamed a dream' challenge. This is a beautiful haunting song. When I first read the lyrics so many different scenes formed in my head I didn't know where to start but when I re-read them recently I didn't get past the first couple of lines. This is my interpretation!
