In this photo Rick was about 4 years old. I`m always surprised how much little Jacob looks like him at that age. The most amazing is that Jacob announced his coming a few days after Rick passed away.

My husband came into the room while I was looking at this gorgeous page. He asked where I got that oufit for Jacob. I told him it was my brother Rick. I truely believe that My brother gave his approval and that I had to find out I was pregnant on the day he was cremated.

This brings a tear to my eye, Neeltje. I cannot imagine what it must be like to lose a child. Our sister did some years ago. The wonderful thing is that the love never dies - and Jacob is surely a gift. I think Rick would still know how much you love him. A most poignant letter.
