About this scrapbook page:
I can't bear to see a challenge with no pages in it so I thought I would support it by creating an instruction page. This is something I often get asked so hope you find it helpful. For the tutorial challenge.

Sorry for the "cut and paste" comment, I seem to be a 'year!' behind once again. I'm voting and pasting which is the best I can do for now, hopefully be back to normal very soon. Great pages all. :)

great page on showing extraction . I could never use this method as you said this requires a STEADY HAND plus if you make mistakes and don't catch it immediately, you have to start over

Excellent tutorial in a plain and simple language.(web tuts are very hard to follow!) This is a slightly different way to how I extract in Paint.net but this is ideal for photos with busy backgrounds and I will certainly give it a try. Any chance you could do another one on blending two photos together in paint.net hehehe -xxxxxxx

I am going to give this a go, Mary. I am not the greatest at extraction. Mind - the steady hand is a problem - all those years of drinking Gin and Tonic. LOL And the eyes are shot too. This is a really clear lesson. Great example too. I guess ppl might feel intimidated trying to write a tute. But you have done this brilliantly!

Very clear precise instructions well done. I use PSE and the lasso tool with feathering - it is all done in one action with no saving necessary you just move it across and make a new layer. Perhaps a tut. on that would be helpful! I have Paint.Net but only use it to capture pics from emails. LOL.
