I have been dusting off an old photo of my mother.It is from her confirmation and next to her is my grandmother.My mom was an only child and born outside of marriage and the church's book she is listed as illegitimate children. I wonder many times why the clergy allowed to use such an expression.Thanks for looking and for any c/v.Which always is very much welcome.

I don't think the clergy understood the repercussions of that word & the effect it could have on these children when it was no fault of theirs. Luckily times have changed.
