Grandchildren have this knack of melting your heart, and you just can't say no to them.
We had our granddaughter and her mum with us for the first two years and I would do it all again, we had so much fun, but very tiring, A very beautiful and touching story, Love the photo's. Gorgeous.

A very moving account of your experiences Linda. I admire you for taking on the responsibility of bringing up Gabriel when your daughter was unable to as a result of her condition. The strong, loving bond between you & Gabriel is evident for all to see, you are a special lady who is blessed with a huge, loving heart & Gabriel is twice blessed in having you as both his Mum & Nan xxx

A truly warm and wonderful story! I'd say you and Gabriel are both blessed. Also, this is a wonderful thing about SBF. Reading the supportive and understanding comments of others is heart-warming.

A wonderful story. Your daughter and Gabriel were both so lucky that you were there and willing to step in with your love and care. I have looked after all my grandchildren for extended periods of time but there has always been the knowledge that they would go home. Love can have it's limits - but yours obviously has no such boundaries - you are a wonderful grandmother indeed. Thanks for sharing.

I am one of those people who "judge" grandparents raising their children's children but there ARE many exceptions and your story is a kind, loving one! I love your photos and extraction! Excellent page!!!

what a wonderful story. I too am fotuneate to have my daughter and grandson living with me. She was date raped at 17 and fell pregnant but thankfully she finished school and is studying to be a teacher and I was blessed to have a new baby in the house who is my life and light. I hope your daughter got the help she needed and is able to enjoy time spent with her lovely son.

Linda I love this message - This gave me goose bumps and tears of joy as I was reading this. Gracie lived with Mike and me for almost a year before they moved out of state after Nina got married. With God's guidance and your never ending love Gabriel will grow up to be a great gentleman. Love your message. God Bless all grandparents for the love of their grandkids.

Linda, that is a beautiful story and its a wonderful thing that you have done. Bipolar is a cruel condition which takes over people's lives and I hope your daughter has been able to get some help. As for Gabriel, he sounds like a lovely young man in the making and a lot of who he is is down to the secure and loving home that you have provided for him. God Bless.
