This is for the I'm named After Challenge: and I was named after my Great Grandmother Bettie. Click on the image to read the journaling. She was a small determined lady and a true Oklahoma Pioneer.

Oh Betty what a wonderful page and tribute to such a wonderful namesake. When I saw your poem I hollered at my hubby so I could read it to him. We both had tears in our eyes when I finished reading it, we both have memories of our own grandma's and their aprons .. in fact just 2 days ago hubby and I were talking about that ... I love this sooooomuch I gotta scoop it up and put it in my favs.

Super great page, Betty!! Wonderful pics. I've recieved that poem in an e-mail and it brings back so many memories of my grandma. I always wanted to be named for my grandma Julie, but Judy was as close as I got.
