I remember well the day I was introduced to Beatrix Potter’s particular form of magic. As the forest world of Peter Rabbit and Squirrel Nutkin opened before me I was forever enchanted. Today, 62 years later, I recall siting on Momma’s lap, nestled in her arms as she read to me, and we exclaimed over the beautiful pictures. My own two boys came to love Beatrix Potter’s world and we spent many magical hours adventuring there.
