I saw a plaque with these words on it probably 30 years ago and fell in love with them. It has always hung somewhere in our home. I plan on passing it down to whoever has their first child. I created this page for buterfly, who's in the process of adopting and have entered it in the "BEST PARENTING TIPS / WORDS OF WISDOM CHALLENGE". Comments and votes are always appreciated. Thanks!

The photo is my kids Mike & Sarah, background and elements are all from Digital Image Pro. There are many versions of the wording, some longer and some shorter, and from what I can find the original version was written by Dorothy Law Nolte, Ph.D.

Have always love this and when I'm faced with someone who is hostile and judgemental and condemnatory I remember these words and feel sadness for the lessons they were taught .. beautifully done!
