I still cry when I think of our Birdie, such a small parrot who touched our lives in a big way. She dealt with each member of the family differently - she knew us well. We buried her in our garden but I find comfort in thinking that she's not there in the ground but out there flying in a heaven for special animals like her. This page is an emotional release for me. Poem is an excerpt from "The Surcease of Sorrow" by Kelly L. Delaney.
