June and July brings High School practice, with matches beginning in August. One of the ‘fun’ practices each year has the girls pair up with a teammate and design a uniform to play as one of the ‘World Cup’ countries. Last year, Gracie and Sophie represented Australia, complete with stuffed Joeys. This year? The girls ran home to the Mother Country and represented England.

Gracie has played soccer (football!) since 1st Grade. She’s had 6 years of recreational ball, three years of Middle School, is going into her fourth (Senior) year of High School, and has competed for seven years in Club Soccer with FCE United. (I wish I had a dollar for every mile she’s run on the pitch in the last eleven years!)
