I always like it if the elements are not floating around but when they are connected to something else. Like the love circle. If you erase the circle exactly where the ribbon is, then it looks like the circle goes around the ribbon. Same with the tag. Try to make it look like it attached to the frame.

For the critique me challange; Since you can't add shadows, which I think is the main problem, it would be a good idea to change the background to create more contrast and help the photo stand out.

One of my favorites. Just a note: I use Scrapbook plus so adding "shadowing" isn't an option. I love this page but it didn't do well in the original challenge. Why not???
