This was a very special evening for my Grandfather. He was reunited after 62 years with his best friend that he served with in World War II. They lost contact on their way back from Italy in 1945, and only a few months ago was my family able to find his friend, and what an evening it was! My grandfather is the one on the left. It was the first time my grandmother ever met his war buddy, and boy did he tell her a few things. Note: my grandparents were married right before he shipped out in 1943.
