Spanish Flue in 1920
SARS came in 2002 looks like every 100 years or so, So wouldn't you think that they would have listened to the scientists who say Stockpile the equipment needed???????

This is a really great page Simone & a reminder that we can get through this with some common sense and patience.

‘Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.’ (George Santayana-1905). In a 1948 speech to the House of Commons, Winston Churchill changed the quote slightly when he said (paraphrased), ‘Those who fail to learn from history are condemned to repeat it.’

You know when I saw this quote? Watching Guyana Tragedy when Jim Jones had it on his entrance sign. :-(

Fabulous, informational page for the challenge Simone!!!! Great photos & journaling!!! Both of my grandparents (maternal & paternal) lived during that time along with their siblings and parents and survived it. Every century has at least 2 pandemics or worse. I just hate to see all the people who are cashing in on misleading information but people have always done that before too sadly enough.
