This is late 1920's, two of my Grandfathers older brothers clearing teatree bush with a tractor and hand made roller. The teatree was flattened, left to dry and then burnt.

Ah! So it's them that's to blame for all that flat dry land around you! Did they do the whole of Western Australia, or just a FEW thousand acres? And now when you want to go walkabout in the Bush it takes you days to find any..Sorry, only kidding! It's a wonderful pic but I'm intrigued as to why one of the great uncles has that long stick...is it for beating the other one when he started slacking?
